Day 4311: Current reality

How would you describe current reality? And what current reality do you see in today’s blog post?

The current reality pretty much guarantees that there will be some babbling on Babbling Day from a certain presidential candidate and convicted felon.

Heaven knows what I’ll find when I search for “current reality” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who are sharing my current reality, including YOU!

Day 4310: Topical

I hope my blog posts are topical, even when I’m exhausted by the current topics.

Sometimes, I’d prefer what’s tropical to what’s topical. This is one of those times.

I’m also wishing that what is topical now becomes less typical after the USA election. I’m going to do my part by voting for Kamala Harris on her birthday — today!

Here are some topical, typical, but no tropical images:

Some of those observances seem more topical than others.

Here’s one of the old and yet still topical songs:

.

I look forward to your topical comments.

Thanks to all who typically read this topical blog, including YOU!!

Day 4309: Exhausted

As we approach this exhaustingly important USA election, I assume I’m not alone in feeing exhausted.

.

In an old blog post I wrote when I was less exhausted, I remember suggesting that we not worry about the other shoe dropping since “what’s so scary about a shoe?” Well, if the other shoe is an orange, toxic, and vengeful narcissist dropping again on all of us, I am both scared and exhausted.

However, I’m not too exhausted to share my other images for today.

.

Is anybody exhausted by the prospect of Evaluate Your Life Day?

This is what shows up first when I search for “exhausted” on YouTube:

.

I am so exhausted by that exhausted man and I can only hope that enough people aren’t too exhausted to stop him with their votes between now and November 5.

How exhausted are you?

Thanks to all who are here for this exhausted post, including YOU!

Day 4308: Judgment

Since this daily, long-running blog is titled “The Year(s) of Living Non-judgmentally,” I think it’s about time for a post about judgment.

.

As we get closer to the November election, I’m experiencing judgment about other people’s judgment. I’m trying not to judge myself as I struggle for compassion.

Do you see judgment in my other images for today?

.

In general, I try not to look for judgment, but I did look for “judgment” on YouTube.

.

In my judgment, that’s a great TED talk.

Thanks to all who are here for this judgment post, including YOU!

Day 4307: Feelings and Felines

With less than three weeks until the USA election, it’s time for a post about feelings and felines!

.

I posted this video with my feelings about felines on TikTok yesterday.

.

I don’t know what I would do without my feelings and my felines.

Thanks to all who are here for this feelings and felines post, including YOU!

Day 4305: Information Overload

Today is Information Overload Day, so I’ll try not to overload you with information here.

I recently read an article in the New Yorker, the Washington Post, or the Atlantic (I’m too overloaded with information to remember which one) which attributed many of our current social ills to information overload and the increasing spread of misinformation. That information-overload article overloaded me with worry about the future.

Do you see information overload in my images for today?

.

Today is also Face Your Fears Day (although the Internet says that was actually last Tuesday) and I hope to face my fears about how information overload (and EVERYTHING else) will affect the results of the USA election (three weeks from today!).

Please excuse the information overload in the previous sentence.

When I search for “information overload,” I find this …

… and this:

.

How do you deal with information overload?

I am overloaded with gratitude for all who’ve made it to the end of this information overload post, including YOU.

Day 4304: Extravaganzas

Yesterday I participated in some extravaganzas, including the Boston Catstravaganza and a social media shareaganza.

Are you ready for a blogstravaganza?

.

Because I can be a FRUMP (Frugal, Responsible, Unpretentious, Mature, Person), I sometimes feel uncomfortable with extravaganzas, especially when I’m promoting myself. I guess I’ll just have to get used to it.

I turned my recent pacemaker surgery into a musical extravaganza by singing this to an operating room full of doctors and nurses right before the anesthesia.

.

Now I’m looking forward to a commentstraganza.

Thanks to all who witness the extravaganzas I share here, including YOU!

Day 4303: Giving

In a world where some people are all about taking, I love giving my time to beautifully giving people like my life-long friend, Barbara.

.

That photo was taken by a giving guy who was also giving his attention to three dogs.

.

Barbara and I have been giving each other support for close to 70 years and I’m always giving thanks for my friendship with her.

.

Yesterday we were both giving thanks for nature giving us such a beautiful day.

.

Do you see giving in my other images for today?

.

On Good Samaritan Day and Treat Yo’ Self Day, I’m giving a shout out to giving to others AND to yourself.

My giving music producer Riccardo Pearlman is giving me clips like this to share on TikTok:

.

After giving some time to that, I just posted it on TikTok! I need to be giving more thought about how to get more traction there.

Here’s a link to my current TikTok profile:

Any comments about this giving blog post or advice about TikTok you might be giving below?

As usual, I’m giving thanks to all my wonderful readers, including YOU!

Day 4302: Just like everyone else

Just like everyone else, I want to be free, happy, healthy, and fulfilled.

.

Just like The Daily Bitch, I’m a little short of breath as I’m recovering from my heart-related surgery.

Just like everyone else, I’m hoping to connect authentically with others here and now.

.

Just like everyone else, I appreciate free thought and the permission to have a moment of frustration scream.

Here’s what I find when I search for “just like everyone else” on YouTube:

.

Just like everyone else, I want to belong AND to remain unique.

Just like everyone else, I want to connect with wonderful people like YOU!
