Day 4575: Animals

For me and many others, animals are a comfort, especially during times like these.

Every Friday evening, my husband Michael and I go looking for crepuscular animals of the rabbity kind.

Get ready for lots of photos of animals!

.

On New Conversations Day, does anybody want to start some new conversations about animals?

Here’s a TikTok video I made about animals:

.

Thanks to all who are here for this animals post, including YOU!

Day 4567: What are people going to do?

What are people going to do now that the USA Republicans have passed a terrible bill that Trump will sign into law?

I’m going to resist.

Here’s another version of my protest song on TikTok.

.

What are people going to do on the 4th of July?

.

What are people going to do about my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “what are people going to do?” on YouTube.

.

What are people going to do with my gratitude for you?

Day 4516: Distraction

Because I have so much I want to accomplish these days, everything I do seems to be a distraction from something else.

I don’t even know if distraction is a good or bad thing.

People seem to agree that TikTok is all about distraction and I posted this there yesterday:

.

I didn’t even mean to add that music but I think that’s a good distraction.

Cats, in general, are a very good distraction for me.

.

Ready for more distraction?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “distraction” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who are here for this distraction post, including YOU!

Day 4401: Fortunate

I consider myself fortunate, here and now, because I

  • am almost completely recovered from RSV,
  • love my work as a group therapist,
  • am surrounded by creatures I love, and
  • am able to create something new every day.

I am fortunate that I was able to capture these images.

.

I feel fortunate that Trump actually isn’t President today and I believe many people will not be fortunate over the next four years. I am fortunate to have a YouTube Channel where I will be posting my new parody song “The Age of Nefarious,” probably tomorrow.

I feel fortunate to be listening to Martin Short’s autobiography I Must Say and to have found his first appearance as Ed Grimley on SNL, where he’s interviewing to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune.

.

According to his autobiography, Martin Short, despite many tragic losses, considers himself very fortunate.

I am fortunate that there are wonderful people in this world, including YOU!

Day 4400: Letting Go

I conduct many mindfulness exercises in my therapy groups where we’re letting go of something that is not serving us well, like anxiety, despair, worry about the future, regrets about the past, harsh self judgment, old patterns of behaviors, unhelpful thoughts including comparisons and personalization, assumptions, and people who are taking up too much space in our heads.

Do you see letting go in any of my images for today?

The New York Times, 1/18/25

.

According to today’s news, it looks like the USA might be letting go of TikTok.

Here’s the first thing I find when I search for “letting go” on YouTube.

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about letting go?

Thanks to all who helped me create this letting-go post, including YOU!

Day 4369: Joan

Joan is our very cool cat who often shows up in this blog.

Yesterday I posted two videos about Joan on TikTok.

.

Joan also inspired two questions I asked yesterday on social media:

.

My husband Michael, who has very definite ideas about what makes a good name for a cat, suggested “Cheryl,” “Rachel,” or “Joan” for our new kitty three years ago, and my son Aaron and I chose “Joan.”

Do you see Joan in my other images for today?

.

Joan and Harley may have smaller brains than us, but can we agree that they are not always stupider than people?

Eeeeeeek!

Joan is letting me know, here and now, that she wants to be fed, so thanks to all who are here for this Joan-heavy post, including YOU!

Day 4367: At this point

At this point, I’m happy to start a blog post with the Daily Bitch Calendar.

.

At this point, I’ll share the latest cute cat video I posted online.

.

At this point, I’m surprised and grateful when a U.S. magazine tells it like it is.

.

At this point, I need to quickly share my other images for today so I can get to work at the hospital in time.

.

How are you doing at this point?

At this point, I always thank those who help me create these daily blog posts, including YOU!

Day 4359: Gatherings

It’s the time of year for gatherings, isn’t it?

As I was gathering photos for today’s blog, I snapped this photo while people were gathering in a supermarket gathering items to buy.

.

These day, I’m dealing with the gathering storm in the USA by focusing on gatherings with buddies and other like-minded people — in real life and on social media.

Here are the other images I’ve been gathering for today’s post:

.

I’ve been gathering more verses of my poem “There’s No One I Like Better Than My Cat” and sharing them with people gathering on TikTok. Here’s the latest one, which has been gathering many more views (613) than the previous one (16), which I shared in yesterday’s blog post.

.

No matter how much information I’m gathering about social media, I’m usually stumped about how to increase my gatherings there.

For those who are gathering their thoughts and feelings about this “gathering” blog post, feel free to share them in the comments- gathering section, below.

Now I’m gathering my gratitude to thank all who are gathering here, now, including YOU!

Day 4358: Buddies

I don’t know what I would do without my buddies, human and feline.

When people who are bad buddies or who are buddy-less have control and power, I especially like to focus on good buddies.

During the first Trump administration, I watched reruns of The Match Game because the panelists seemed like real buddies. During the next Trump administration, I plan to spend less time listening to the news and more time listening to good buddies.

What buddies do you see in my images for today?

.

This latest video of my buddy Joan is getting very few views on TikTok.

.

I don’t know how to reach more buddies on TikTok, so I am happy to share that with my buddies here.

What to do you think about this buddies post?

Many thanks to all my buddies, including YOU!

Day 4353: Technology

Surrounded by technology yesterday, I tried to put into words certain feelings I have about technology.

.

Here are some responses I got about technology:

.

I feel insecure using TikTok technology, but I posted another video there yesterday.

.

Do you see technology in my other images for today?

.

I wonder if anybody is going to spend too much on shoes using technology on Cyber Monday.

Here’s what I find when I search for “technology” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who are using technology to be here, now, including YOU!
