The Daily Bitch would have been welcomed at a back table in the Blue Moon Tavern back when it was my living room. That’s where the Raccoons met. Formed in honor of Jackie Gleason’s fictional club, some of them acquired coon skin hats, but most of them were old hippies with long hair worn in a pony tail that they would wave in the air as they howled when the occasion warranted.

There’s a quote from the show Parks & Rec that I think illustrates a good way to deal with sometimes difficult situations: “The raccoon problem is under control. They have their part of town, we have ours.”
