Day 4317: Making a difference

We are all making a difference, whether or not we know it.

I’m hoping that my fellow Americans will be making a difference for the good in November.

Do you see anyone making a difference in my images for today?

.

Michelle Obama is making a difference whenever she speaks.

.

Thanks to all who are making a difference, including YOU!

Day 4302: Just like everyone else

Just like everyone else, I want to be free, happy, healthy, and fulfilled.

.

Just like The Daily Bitch, I’m a little short of breath as I’m recovering from my heart-related surgery.

Just like everyone else, I’m hoping to connect authentically with others here and now.

.

Just like everyone else, I appreciate free thought and the permission to have a moment of frustration scream.

Here’s what I find when I search for “just like everyone else” on YouTube:

.

Just like everyone else, I want to belong AND to remain unique.

Just like everyone else, I want to connect with wonderful people like YOU!

Day 4281: Strong emotions

Because I’m a psychotherapist, I often deal with people’s strong emotions.

Yesterday, I had many strong emotions, including a good cry when I watched West Side Story.

I have no shame about strong emotions, including sadness, fear, anger, and joy. I accept my strong emotions and allow them to flow through me, leaving room for other reactions.

Do you see strong emotions in my images for today?

I’ve always had strong emotions about cats, who have supported me emotionally since I was 10 years old.
For me, it’s West Side Story, The Deer Hunter, Sophie’s Choice, To Kill a Mockingbird, Schindler’s List, and so many others.
I had strong emotions about Angry Staffer answering my question on Twitter last night.
“Maybe calm down” can be a valid response to strong emotions.
I have strong emotions about several of today’s observances.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “strong emotions” on YouTube:

.

On World Gratitude Day (and every other day), I have strong emotions of gratitude for YOU.

Day 4260: It’s showtime!

Today is my concert/fundraiser for ActBlue, which supports the Kamala Harris/Tim Walz ticket as well as Democrats nationwide.

Yesterday, I practiced my new song “Artificial Intelligence” as well as the rest of my set list, including “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready,” “It’s Hard to Get Shit Done When You’re Scared Shitless,” “Triggers,” “Don’t Kill Yourself,” “Shameless Appeals for Applause,” and “I’d Like to Win the Grammy for Best New Artist.”

My singing teacher, who plans to be there at showtime today, thinks that once I get good recordings of my material out there, I’ll go viral, but time will tell.

For now, I’m just glad that it’s showtime!

It’s time for me to show the images I captured yesterday.

.

The Daily Bitch is reminding me that I forgot to eat anything when it was showtime for me at the Lilypad two months ago, so I’ll be sure to Eat Outside before my show today.

Here’s what I find when I search for “it’s showtime!” on YouTube.

.

It’s showtime! Thanks to everybody who is here for me, now, including YOU!

Day 3694: Adiaphorous

Have you ever heard the word “adiaphorous” before? I hadn’t, until I got this in an email yesterday:

.

I’m going to try to remember and use the word “adiaphorous” because the human mind naturally thinks of things as being either harmful or beneficial, and focusing on the adiaphorous might be a way to live non-judgmentally.

If I can’t remember to use the word “adiaphorous,” that’s adiaphorous.

Do you see anything that’s adiaphorous in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “adiaphorous.”

.

Thanks to all who helped me create this adiaphorous post, including YOU!

Day 3607: Voices I love to hear

Yesterday, when voices I do NOT love to hear were spreading lies and toxic narcissism, I did not listen to those voices. Instead, I listened to voices I love to hear, including these:

.

In honor of National Button Day, here’s a voice I love to hear: Paul Carrack, singing “Button Off of My Shirt.”

I would love to hear the voices of people fooled by toxic narcissists singing that song.

Thanks to all those whose voices I love to hear, including YOU!
