Day 4229: Over and over again

Over and over again, different thoughts and feelings come up.

Over and over again, I let them flow through me, replaced by more.

Over and over again, I resolve to live more in the present and less in the past and the future.

Over and over again, I look at the news and wonder about the wild ride we are all on together.

Over and over again, I quote Yogi Berra: “It’s like déjà vu all over again.”

Over and over again, I need to get my teeth cleaned to prevent endocarditis (which I used to get over and over again) and I need to get my cardiac pacemaker replaced (some time in the next few months).

Over and over again, I wonder who will show up for my ActBlue fundraising concert on August 31. Over and over again I wonder if I’m ready to put on a good enough show.

Over and over again, I listen to music that I love as I walk all over my neighborhood.

Over and over again, I try to upload photos into this blog from my phone.

Over and over again I try to be patient with the process, no matter how long it takes.

.

Over and over again, I post the daily holidays on social media and clear up ambiguities about them.

.

.

Over and over again, I share the Daily Bitch Calendar here and in my therapy groups.

Here are some of the songs that people listen to over and over again:

This is Celine Dion singing Edith Piaf at the Olympics; just click to see it.

.

Over and over again, I am grateful to all of you!!

Day 4228: International Day of Friendship

It’s the International Day of Friendship, my friends!

.

On this International Day of Friendship, I hope this blog post promotes togetherness and kindness, bringing people together.

.

I don’t think The Daily Bitch got the memo about the International Day of Friendship.

Here’s what I find when I search for “International Day of Friendship” on YouTube:

And here’s Bette Midler, who appeared in yesterday’s blog post, singing a great song for this International Day of Friendship:

Thanks to all my friends, including YOU!

Day 4225: Being Peace

Yesterday, when I was trying to settle my mind, I went for a morning walk and listened to “Being Peace” by Thich Nhat Hanh.

.

As I practice being peace (instead of worrying about peace), the world looks different to me.

.

Here is “Being Peace.”

.

Thanks to all who are here for this “Being Peace” blog, including YOU.

Day 4224: My mind

I try not to mind the negative thoughts that my mind creates every day.

My mind, like many other human minds, naturally goes to the negative, perhaps in an attempt to keep myself safe.

I constantly remind myself that negative thoughts don’t help and and my mind tries to get past them as quickly as possible.

I’m grateful that there is much more in my mind besides negative thoughts.

Guess whose mind inspired today’s post.

Here’s what I find when I search for my mind on YouTube:

Thanks to Yebba and everyone else who expands my mind, including YOU.

Day 4222: Comfort Zones

During these unprecedented times, comfort zones can be few and far between.

I will be returning to my comfort zone of The Lily Pad in Cambridge on August 31 to give another concert. This time all profits will go to ActBlue, as I try to help keep the USA a comfort zone for like-minded citizens.

Here’s the link to buy tickets or just donate to ActBlue:

For this concert, my comfort zone includes writing new lyrics, like these for my song “Triggers.”

For me it’s bad people in power

Or running out of hot water while taking a shower.

The news triggers many, like my husband when he

Sees political talking heads blustering each hour.

Do you see comfort zones in my images for today?

.

I love that I’m writing about comfort zones on International Self Care Day.

Day 4220: Where do we go from here?

As these days continue to have unprecedented developments, where do we go from here?

.

Here’s what’s been playing in my head as I’ve been writing this where-do-we-go-from-here post?

.

Thanks to all who help me know where we go from here, including YOU
