Day 3822: Stochastic

“Stochastic” seems like a great title for today’s stochastic blog post.

My stochastic thoughts now include wondering whether I should replace the word “random” with “stochastic,” as in “that’s so stochastic” and “who’s that stocho who was just talking to you?”

Here are my stochastic images for the day.

.

The Daily Bitch is so stochastic.

Here’s what I find when I search for “stochastic” on YouTube:

.

Is it stochastic that this video also showed up …

.

… and then this one?

.

Stochastic thanks to all who help me create my stochastic posts, including YOU!

Day 3821: Juneteenth

Today is Juneteenth and here are some descriptions of the day from Wikipedia, the New York Times, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture:

Let’s see if the Daily Bitch is celebrating Juneteenth.

Maybe next year.

Here are the World Observances and Holidays listed for today:

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for Juneteenth:

.

Thanks to Vox for that video and to all who have visited this blog on Juneteenth, including YOU.

Day 3820: International Panic Day

When I saw that today is International Panic Day, these were my first thoughts:

  • Is it useful for people in all nations to panic?
  • Will that help us work together on global problems like climate change and social injustice?
  • Is it deliberately on Father’s Day and should I panic because my beloved father is no longer here to help guide me?
  • Is it ironic that I’ve deliberately decided recently not to panic no matter what is happening as I age into my 70s?

Then I looked up “International Panic Day“ and found this:

.

Now I see I have more reasons not to panic on International Panic Day: (1) I would never confuse International Panic Day with International Picnic Day and (2) the cat is still here.

.

Is there anything to panic about in my other images for today?

.

I’m not going to panic if I splurge on National Splurge Day, either.

Here’s what I find when I search for “International Panic Day” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who are facing another possibly panic-worthy day, including YOU!

Day 3819: Juggling

In therapy, people often talk about the challenge of juggling different things in their lives, including their needs with others’ needs.

As I’m juggling my urge to travel with other people’s priorities, I am now resolving to travel more on my own, letting go of any fear about that.

What juggling do you see in my images for today?

I’ve been juggling these images to make sure that World Juggling Day would appear here!

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “juggling.”

Happy World Juggling Day and thanks to all who are doing their best juggling, including YOU!

Day 3818: Therapy

Before I begin another day providing individual and group therapy for people dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, and PTSD, I appreciate the therapy of creating and sharing a blog post with you.

Do you see therapy in my images for today?

Do you think the Daily Bitch needs therapy?

Here’s what I find when I search for “therapy” on YouTube.

.

Gratitude is very effective therapy (and it’s free!), so thanks to all the wonderful creatures who helped me create this therapy post, including YOU!

Day 3817: Magic

In my Coping and Healing groups, there’s magic: a magic hat containing something you need (like peace of mind),

a magic waste paper basket so you can throw something away (like hopelessness),

and a magic wand, so you can make a wish.

.

Is there magic in my other images for today?

Is it magic that I’m writing about magic on wish fulfillment day?

There’s lots of magic on YouTube, including this:

.

Actually, I unwittingly used the art of misdirection when I posted the wrong day’s list of holidays above. Here’s the correct list:

Let’s see if I can make some comments about magic appear, below.

Thanks to all who bring magic into my life, including YOU!

Day 3816: What’s it all about?

What’s it all about, people?

Is this post going to answer that now?

What’s it all about when you sort it out, people?

Are we meant to know why, what, and how?

What it’s all about is that I’ve written new lyrics to “What’s It All About, Alfie?” above and also here to explain Balint groups for doctors, nurses, and social workers.

.

What’s it all about when I throw all my recent images into a blog post?

What’s it all about, these daily holidays?

What’s it all about with you?

Finally, it’s all about gratitude from me to you!

Day 3815: What’s next?

Even though I encourage people to stay in the moment, it’s difficult not to wonder what’s next.

What’s next is something I saw in the hospital gift shop yesterday.

.

What’s next is

.

What’s next is my telling you that I almost titled this blog post “A Piece of the Immense Universe” …

… or “Take a look at this!”

.

What’s next is searching YouTube for “What’s next?” (and not for YouTube socks).

What’s next is — of course! — thanks from me to you.

Day 3814: Finally…

I saw a great sign yesterday with a Mary Oliver quote that starts with “Finally…”

Finally… I saw (again!) that worrying had come to nothing. So I took my old body (and young cat) out for a walk, checked out an open house, sang, had a cookout with people I love, and finally reunited with my dear friend Ada after a too-long absence.

.

Finally…I’ll rise, but I will be shining with gratitude for all who make my life better, including YOU!

Day 3813: In case you missed it

In case you missed it, the news has been very interesting lately.

Unfortunately, I did miss that article, so I can’t tell you why animals keep evolving into crabs. In case you missed it, I like guessing games, so I’m going to guess that animals keep evolving into crabs because (1) they need protection and (2) there’s a lot to be crabby about, including climate change.

In case you missed it, I arrange my latest photos (capturing little things you might have missed) in each blog post, hoping they’ll make some sort of cohesive sense, which can be hit-or-miss.

In case you missed it, I keep putting the horizon in the middle of my shots, which John Ford told Steven Spielberg is “boring.”

In case you missed it, there are many important observances today.

In case you missed it, I can find almost anything on YouTube.

In case you missed it, I am very grateful to YOU!
