Day 4849: Great pictures

Everyday, I try to collect great pictures to share with you in this daily blog.

A week from today, I’ll be traveling to Spain with three dear friends from film school and I’m sure there will be great pictures to be found.

Here are the great pictures for today’s blog post.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “great pictures” on YouTube.

Thanks to all who help me share great pictures, including YOU.

Day 4741: Those I Love

Yesterday, on Christmas Eve, I spent precious time with those I love.

For those I love, I performed my new holiday song before we sang the usual holiday songs. Without rehearsing at all, everybody joined in and sounded great, which I loved.

Can you see those I love in my images for today?

I love the Daily Bitch calendar.

This is probably what I sounded like performing my holiday song for those I love yesterday.

Feel free to sing along!

.

Thanks to those I love, including YOU!

Day 4488: Who would be a good President?

Who do you think would be a good President? Would Joan? Would I?

.

I’m not sure whether either of us are electable, so I asked that question of who would be a good President last night on social media.

.

Do you see anybody who would be a good President in my other images for today?

.

Personally, I think that a cat, a dog, the Daily Bitch, a banana, a mushroom, a bean counter, a Librarian, an orchid, or your daughter would all be a better President than the one we have now.

Here’s what I find when I search for “who would be a good President?” on YouTube.

Day 4404: How do you feel?

Yesterday, I saw my wonderful Primary Care Physician, Dr. Laura Snydman, for my yearly checkup and she asked me many questions including “How do you feel?”

I told her I feel well physically (now that I have finally recovered from RSV) and I feel terrible about the state of our country.

She noted that my blood pressure went down after I sang my new song The Age of Nefarious for her yesterday and we both felt good about that.

How do you feel about my images for today?

Day 4390: Sick

This is my 13th day of being sick and I am so sick of it.

Yesterday, I was talking to somebody who was sick of their current situation and couldn’t imagine it ever being any different. I told them it’s difficult to imagine the future being any better and I shared that I was having some trouble believing that I would ever not be sick again.

There are many things I’m sick of right now, which you can probably see in today’s images, which I captured when I was sick.

.

It looks like the Daily Bitch is sick of people and misses the old days of being sick with Covid.

Here’s what I find when I search for “sick” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all the people who are here for this sick post, including YOU!

Day 4244: What makes you smile?

So many things make me smile these days, including wonderful people, fabulous animals, music, the news (of all things!), and hopes for the future.

What makes you smile in my images for today?

It makes me smile how serious Carol and Riccardo are while working on my album.
It makes me smile to see Riccardo with his dog Hugo.

.

It makes me smile that National Failures Day is a thing, especially in a nation that connects self worth to success.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “what makes you smile?”

Thanks to all who make me smile, including YOU!

Day 4204: Trouble sleeping

Because of my fears about the upcoming USA elections, last night I had trouble sleeping.

Whenever I’m distressed, I do what I can to realize that I am not alone, like reaching out to friends who also have trouble sleeping. Because I have trouble disturbing anybody else’s sleep, I posted on Twitter.

.

While other people’s pain hurts, it did help to know that I wasn’t alone. So I finally fell back to sleep.

Earlier in the day of the night I had trouble sleeping, I asked these other questions on Twitter.

I wonder if I’ll have trouble sleeping again tonight? The word of the day doesn’t help.

.

Joan never has trouble sleeping.

I want to be more like Joan.

Harley doesn’t have trouble sleeping either, even though he is a very anxious kitty.

.

I wonder if the Daily Bitch ever has trouble sleeping.

Now, that’s a ridiculous coincidence because last night I also had trouble sleeping because I realized I had forgotten to take my pills the day before, which aways scares me.

Even though I had trouble sleeping last night, I won’t forget to post today’s World Observances.

.

Whenever I have trouble sleeping, I like to listen to a soothing voice, like Pema Chödrön’s.

.

What to do you do when you have trouble sleeping?

Day 4201: Reasons to get out of bed

When times seem scary and depressing, it might be difficult to find reasons to get out of bed.

Do you see reasons to get out of bed in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “reasons to get out of bed.”

Thanks to all those who are reasons for me to get out of bed, including YOU!

Day 4119: Unconditional love

I believe we all yearn for unconditional love.

Some of us get it from our animals, who seem to give it freely.

Some of us learn to give it to ourselves, which takes a lot of practice.

Why is it so difficult to practice and accept unconditional love? After all, it is

  • devoid of harmful side effects,
  • always close at hand, and
  • free.

Do you see unconditional love in my images for today?

.

Do you think I’ll be able to find unconditional love on YouTube?

.

Unconditional love and gratitude to all who are here, now, including YOU!
