Day 3813: In case you missed it

In case you missed it, the news has been very interesting lately.

Unfortunately, I did miss that article, so I can’t tell you why animals keep evolving into crabs. In case you missed it, I like guessing games, so I’m going to guess that animals keep evolving into crabs because (1) they need protection and (2) there’s a lot to be crabby about, including climate change.

In case you missed it, I arrange my latest photos (capturing little things you might have missed) in each blog post, hoping they’ll make some sort of cohesive sense, which can be hit-or-miss.

In case you missed it, I keep putting the horizon in the middle of my shots, which John Ford told Steven Spielberg is “boring.”

In case you missed it, there are many important observances today.

In case you missed it, I can find almost anything on YouTube.

In case you missed it, I am very grateful to YOU!

  1. My fav pics: the wood canoes and the stormy skies. Fav herb: sweet basil!

  2. Jacques Cousteau was a hero of mine growing up so I wonder what he’d think about the question of animals evolving into crabs. But I think there’s enough diversity that we can safely say that not everything becomes a crab, and even some crabs eventually become something different.

  3. I missed that article too, animals evolving into crabs, but I did subscribe to HBO so I could binge The House of the Dragon, and the first 2 or 3 episodes have some very disturbing images of crabs evolving into mini-monsters. Something a little different indeed, Christopher! 🙂

That sky was certainly a dark gray! Hard to figure out whether it was storm clouds or smoky haze or maybe some of both.

  5. You have some really great images here. I don’t miss it when someone puts an horizon line right in the middle and I don’t think you do it often. On the contrary, you’re really applying the rule of thirds on most of these images. You didn’t miss any shots on your outings!!

  6. Beautiful photos, Ann. I enjoyed being introduced to the Charles River. I am glad I didn’t miss it!

  7. Love all your photos. Interesting that it’s abused women’s and children’s awareness day, considering my abuser was a woman (mom). All healed these days though. I love that the Charles River is so much cleaner than when I was a kid. Kudos to environmentalists. And I can’t pick one favorite spice, but have been loving herbs de Provence lately. And then again, with the hot weather, I love iced tea with mint, lemon, and sometimes both.

  8. It’s not that often that one comes across the word “eskers” on a neighborhood walk.
