Since the day the USA started bombing Iran, I’ve been sharing a daily picture of Joan on Twitter. Yesterday’s picture of Joan got the biggest response ever.
.
As usual, Eric Yake had a wonderful response to Joan’s picture.
.
Here are some of my favorite Joan/Eric pairings.
.
Eric says he plans to publish a book of Joan photos and give the proceeds to my favorite charity!
Regarding that last definition, I’m ready to say that I don’t ever feel like I am COMPLETELY prepared for anything, but I don’t let that interfere with my doing things anyway.
Because I am still jet lagged from my solo trip to Switzerland, I didn’t feel ready to attend this month’s Which Side protest song teach-out last night, but I went anyway.
On October 27, I probably won’t feel ready to perform my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and another protest song at the next Which Side, but I’m very excited that I’ll be up on that stage.
Ready to hear host James Sullivan include me in the list of next month’s performers?
I don’t know if I’ll ever feel ready to be on the same bill with Juliana Hatfield, et. al. but I will be there!
Thanks to the Happiness Engineer, Jeev, at WordPress, I’m ready to start fixing the glitches that are interfering with WordPress acknowledging my streak of 5000+ blogging days in a row.
.
Are you ready for my other images for today? Ready or not, here they come!
It seems like many people are ready for a particular funeral.
Ready for my gratitude for all the wonderful people who help me create this daily blog, including YOU?
Here is a special photo from a recent Boston Globe article about Which Side?
Do you recognize the special person on the right?
Yesterday, I felt special because somebody special in my special in-person Coping and Healing group shared that my song “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” had made them cry.
.
I did a special a Capella performance of it in group and it had the same effect.
I guess that song must be special because the special Eric Alper chose that one to share in his special playlist of the best Indie music. Here is our special communication about that.
.
It’s nice to feel special, but also scary! Here are my other special images for today.
.
Isn’t the Daily Bitch special?
Thanks to all the special people who are here for this special post, including YOU!
In my family, bragging was discouraged because that was
immodest and
invited the “evil eye.”
I don’t know if this is bragging, but I encourage people in my groups to bravely choose patterns others than those dictated by one’s family of origin, so I am creating a bragging post today.
The Daily Bitch is bragging in her own way.
Am I bragging when I share that I am very pleased with this original song?
.
Now I’m bragging that I have wonderful readers like you!
Yesterday, I was ready to go home, so I took this photo at the Barcelona airport.
.
After a wonderful vacation in Spain with beloved friends (including author Janet Raye Stevens), I am ready to go back to work, which tells me I love being a group therapist and a songwriter.
Are we ready to go to my other images for today?
The Uber driver and I sang songs when we were ready to go to the airport and he showed me his USA-related tattoos. Michael was ready to go visit his son and grandchildren in Boston and he was ready to go listen to my songs after we spoke before boarding the plane. I was ready to go up into the wild blue yonder!I was ready to go share some memories with the sweet guy who sat next to me during the seven-hour flight. I was ready to go back home, even though the weather was rainy in Boston.
I believe Jacqueline and I were inspiring each other to live creative every day. Later, her daughter creatively and kindly stopped me as I was walking among people who live creative in the SOWA section of Boston.
.
Do you see others who live creative in my other images for today?
That’s Dani from Best Friend Supplies, who sold me a creative kicky toy for our cats.
With my mind constantly problem solving, I’m working on relaxing as best I can.
Working on relaxing? Isn’t that some sort of oxymoron?
Well, relaxing is difficult for those us of who are naturally hypervigilant, especially during unrelaxing times like these.
This weekend I shall do some relaxing, I hope, as I prepare for my album release on Friday and attend a memorial service for my patient who unexpectedly passed away. I feel like I should also attend a protest today, but that won’t be very relaxing.
Do you see any relaxing in my images for today?
.
I’m relaxing now after an arduous experience uploading things to Spotify for my album release.
Here’s the song that now has a visual of our cat Joan leaving the house before she feels ready.
.
Thanks to all who are here for this relaxing post, including YOU!
(One problem I would like to solve is the overuse of the term “immersive experience.”)
For days, I’ve been struggling solving problems while trying to create an eight-second loop that allegedly quadruples engagement for songs on Spotify.
ChatGPT, while solving problems about this, has also sent me down many rabbit holes about how to create a Canvas. Originally I tried to animate the background in this image, provided to me by my friend Janet.
.
I spent days solving problems of getting that to work, all to no avail.
After watching a few videos about artists creating a Canvas for a song, I decided to just loop a video I already had. I found one of the cats running down the stairs toward the door and decided to use that. After solving problems and creating an 8-second loop in the right aspect ratio, I showed this to my husband Michael.
.
Michael thought it could be better, so decided to solve the Canvas problem by creating a new video of Joan leaving the house.
.
I believe a continuous loop of that will be solving the problem of a good-enough Spotify canvas for “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready.” Actually, Joan is always ready to leave the house, but her acting in that video is solving the problem.
Do you see problem solving in my other images for today?
After a frustrating week-long glitch in submitting my live album to Spotify and Apple Music, Spotify asked me to get ready for my release on August 22.
.
Although I tried to get ready three weeks ahead of time, the unexpected delay means I won’t have the ideal two weeks ahead of my release to pitch my song to Spotify playlist editors. I’ll get ready to do my best anyway.
Get ready for my other images for today’s blog post!
.
I can’t observe National Lazy Day because I need to get ready to submit my song “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” to Spotify playlist editors.
