still be writing these daily blog posts for me (and you!) with images like these:
Who knew that I would meet wonderful people like Robert and Tara who would delightfully distract me from the scenery on the train? Who knew that they would have an adorable dog like Koda? Who knew I’d be on the wrong car, almost miss one of my four connections yesterday, and figure it out before it was too late? Who knew that I would have such spectacular views from every hotel room on this trip?Who knew I’d be getting so many amuse bouches that would amuse my bouche so much? Who knew there were so many different types of pasta?Who knew this would be the weather in Lugano during my stay here?
.
Who knew I’d be having conversations like these with ChatGPT, especially after writing a song like “Artificial Intelligence”?
.
Who knew there were so many great things to do in Lugano?
.
Who knew I would have so many wonderful readers like YOU?
Speaking of Artificial Intelligence, I’m going to ask ChatGPT to use verisimilitude in some sentences.
.
In this 4949-day-old blog, I always describe events that really happened (with words and images), and I hope they leave you with a feeling of verisimilitude.
Is there verisimilitude in my images for today?
To maintain the verisimilitude of giving credit where credit is due, I shall reveal that my friend Joe sent me this image yesterday.
Not to brag, but sometimes my images align to give the verisimilitude of research and planning.
Here’s what I find when I search for “verisimilitude” on YouTube.
.
Is there verisimilitude in my daily gratitude for you?
It’s interesting how helpful these daily blog posts are for me (no matter how interesting they are for others).
It’s interesting that this blogging site thinks I’ve posted 666 days in a row …
… when it’s actually been 4,791 days in a row.
Yesterday, I went to see yet another interesting expert about the interesting clicking noises I hear in my head when I speak or sing. This doctor and his interested entourage put an interesting little microphone and camera though my nostril so they could observe what interesting things my upper palate did when I speak. When the doctor, who had an interesting way of dealing with patients, asked me to keep talking, I recited the words to my original song “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole.”
.
It’s interesting that — because of the inserted microphone — somebody else could hear the noises for the first time since they appeared 30 months ago (but who’s counting?).
It’s interesting how reassuring that was.
When the interesting doctor told me that my situation was atypical and unusual, I took a breath and said, “Since I’ve been born, I’ve been dealing with the rarest congenital heart condition and other atypical and unusual issues, and I’m kind of sick of being …”
“Interesting?” said the doctor.
It’s interesting that there continues to be no obvious way forward to treat these noises, but we’re going to try a Botox injection next month. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
On the recommendation of a social work intern who is co-facilitating a Coping and Healing group with me, I’m listening to the audiobook of A Little Life.
.
A Little Life is not a little book, and it tackles big themes including trauma, child abuse, love, friendship, and art.
At the same time that I’m listening to many harrowing descriptions in A Little Life, I am living my own little life to the best of my ability.
.
.
When I attended another Open Mic in my little life last night, I performed this original song:
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “a little life” on YouTube.
I wonder if I’ll get to see that in my little life?
Thanks to all who share a little life with me here, including YOU!
I wish I could be released from my future-oriented concerns about how many people will listen to it and just appreciate the fact that it is released!
When I write a sentence like that one, I am released from worries about the future and regrets about the past.
Now it’s time for my other images to be released into this blog post.
All those responses look like scams. I am released from any need to comment on today’s observances. I am released from taking anything too seriously, including meditating.
Thanks to all who are here for this released blog post, including YOU!!
These days, scams are a frequent topic in my Coping and Healing groups. Several members have been victims of scams and appreciate knowing they are not alone. When phone calls from unknown numbers come in, people don’t answer, assuming they are scams.
Scams seem to be everywhere. Do you see any in today’s blog post?
.
Is Artificial Intelligence a danger, a help, a scam, or what? Tomorrow is the release of my new single “Artificial Intelligence” and this link is no scam:
A week from tomorrow I will be interviewed on the popular podcast Therapist Uncensored(which I keep misremembering as “Therapist Unleashed” or “Therapist Unlimited”) and that is no scam either.
I have a bone density scan scheduled for Monday and I keep getting different (ranging from 0 to outrageous) estimates for how much I need to pay. Not wanting to get scammed, I called my health insurance and they told me my responsibility should be $0 unless they submitted it incorrectly. Upon the advice of my health insurance rep, I wrote the hospital and explained that to them and requested they submit it correctly. Here’s the estimate I received this morning:
.
(Sigh)
Here’s what I find when I search for “scams” on YouTube.
.
Thanks to all who are doing their best to deal with scams, including YOU!
After making some adjustments to my answers, I submitted the required information to the Therapist Uncensored podcast yesterday.
.
Then, I exchanged some shower parts that needed adjustments …
.
… and returned to a chiropractor to get adjustments. We’re hoping those adjustments will relieve the annoying clicking noises in my head I’ve been adjusting to for two years.
I made many adjustments to my song “Artificial Intelligence” before submitting it for an upcoming release on November 7; however, none of the adjustments are artificial. Here is my first, pre-adjustments recording of “Artificial Intelligence” last year on YouTube:
.
Thanks to all who are here for these adjustments today, including YOU!
Yesterday, in my Coping and Healing Group, we did enough, including this mindfulness exercise:
I also did that “enough” mindfulness exercise last night right before I performed my original songs “Artificial Intelligence” and “Don’t Kill Yourself” for my fellow social workers at the hospital. They let me know that wasn’t enough by holding up cell phones until I did this encore.
.
Because there is enough misunderstanding in this world, that is not a video from last night — that’s from the recording of my live album “The Singing Therapist Live at the Lilypad!”
I have been working hard to promote my music but I don’t know if it’s enough.
Enough? Enough for what? Enough to make me happy? Enough to make others happy?
I think it’s enough to remember this …
… and this:
I think that the rest of images for today will be enough.
.
I don’t know if anything is ever enough for the Daily Bitch.
Thanks to everyone who showed up for this post and remember — you are enough!
Last night, I asked a question about statistics on social media. 100% of the answers were interesting and I am including less than 100% of the answers here.
.
My show biz coach suggested that I promote my music by getting on podcasts about behavioral health issues. I am happy to report that, so far, 100% of the podcasts I contacted have invited me on.
The statistics about the reach of that podcast are very impressive …
… and a good percentage of me is very nervous about appearing and also wondering if I am jinxing the whole thing by writing about it today.
I approve of 100% of the images in today’s blog post.
.
I can relate to a percentage of today’s observances as I plan on checking my meds and babbling when I introduce a small percentage of my original songs at a gathering of social workers in my hospital this evening.
The second song — “Don’t Kill Yourself” — is (1) 100% of my completely serious songs, (2) getting the most listens of all my songs on Apple Music, and (3) probably the title of the podcast episode of Therapist Uncensored I’ll be on.
Now I have to calm down some percentage of my nervous system before proceeding with this precious day.
100% thanks to all who are here for this statistics post, including YOU!
I often encourage people to recognize and explore their options in therapy.
.
Going back to sleep is NOT an option for me right now, because I have to catch an earlier-than-usual ferry to get to the hospital this morning.
Yesterday, I had to choose among many options when pitching my new single Artificial Intelligence to Spotify playlist editors before its release on November 7.
As usual, I have many options of visuals to share here.
.
Here’s a music genre option recommended by Mister Fox, above.
.
Thanks to all who have chosen the option to be here for this Options post, including YOU!
