Regarding that last definition, I’m ready to say that I don’t ever feel like I am COMPLETELY prepared for anything, but I don’t let that interfere with my doing things anyway.
Because I am still jet lagged from my solo trip to Switzerland, I didn’t feel ready to attend this month’s Which Side protest song teach-out last night, but I went anyway.
On October 27, I probably won’t feel ready to perform my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me” and another protest song at the next Which Side, but I’m very excited that I’ll be up on that stage.
Ready to hear host James Sullivan include me in the list of next month’s performers?
I don’t know if I’ll ever feel ready to be on the same bill with Juliana Hatfield, et. al. but I will be there!
Thanks to the Happiness Engineer, Jeev, at WordPress, I’m ready to start fixing the glitches that are interfering with WordPress acknowledging my streak of 5000+ blogging days in a row.
.
Are you ready for my other images for today? Ready or not, here they come!
It seems like many people are ready for a particular funeral.
Ready for my gratitude for all the wonderful people who help me create this daily blog, including YOU?
Everyday, we all make so many decisions that it’s no wonder that decision fatigue is a thing.
.
I’m definitely susceptible to decision fatigue but it doesn’t stop me from making those 35,000 decisions a day. Sometimes, I actually good about those decisions, including booking a flight to Switzerland for my first ever solo trip to Europe.
One way I’ve been making meaning of human behavior is to remember that people want to be making meaning, even with the inexplicable and the meaningless.
No matter what’s happening, people would rather be making meaning than accepting randomness and the unknown.
Lately, I’ve been making meaning by deciding that some people are just mean.
.
How are you making meaning of that?
Now I’ll be making meaning by organizing and sharing these images for today.
I’m having trouble making meaning of this unexpected increase in people listening to my protest song “You Don’t Scare Me.”
I love new words, so I enjoyed asking this question last night on Learn a New Word Day.
.
Whenever somebody asks a question like Milton’s, my new words are “Everything counts.”
Because we live in a Kakistocracy where politicians are pettifogging and breaking laws about emoluments, I’ll be protesting tomorrow at a No Kings demonstration in Boston. I’ll be making new words out of this sign:
.
Can you guess what words will be on my sign tomorrow?
When I do the New York Time’s Spelling Bee puzzle …
… I often discover new words. For some reason, today’s pangram (a word that uses all the letters) was very easy for me to see.
Do we need any new words to describe my other images for today?
.
The words of my protest song will be new to tomorrow’s demonstrators and I hope I get a chance to sing it.
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “new words” on YouTube:
.
Thanks to John Koenig, I can use the new word zielschmerz, which I’ve been experiencing.
.
I’m looking forward to new words in the comments section, below.
Thanks to all who are here for these new words, including YOU!
Yesterday, I got my flat tire repaired and tried to get my jaw misalignment repaired by going to my friend Barbara’s chiropractor. If that gets repaired, the annoying noises I’ve been hearing when talking for two years might go away!
I wonder when and if the damage done to my country by the current administration will ever be repaired. I’ll be going to a No Kings Protest in Boston this Saturday, prepared to sing my reparative protest song “You Don’t Scare Me.”
.
Let’s see what is being repaired in my images for today.
.
I often feel repaired by photos of cats, so here is Joan to celebrate Global Cat Day!
.
Thanks to all who help me feel repaired, including YOU!
Welcome back to this blog as I experience my welcome back to my home town.
.
Welcome back to my usual array of (mostly unexplained) images as I navigate my way through each day.
Welcome back to my usual focus on groups! I was trying to welcome my ex-husband’s new adopted kitty, who is understandably shy. We will welcome back our son Aaron during the holidays. Welcome back to interestingly titled merchandise.
.
Welcome back to my constant attempts to get my music out there into the world. Today, I may attend a protest in Cambridge (if I can find it) and welcome people to my song “You Don’t Scare Me.”
