Day 4868: Ready to Go

Yesterday, I was ready to go home, so I took this photo at the Barcelona airport.

.

After a wonderful vacation in Spain with beloved friends (including author Janet Raye Stevens), I am ready to go back to work, which tells me I love being a group therapist and a songwriter.

Are we ready to go to my other images for today?

The Uber driver and I sang songs when we were ready to go to the airport and he showed me his USA-related tattoos.
Michael was ready to go visit his son and grandchildren in Boston and he was ready to go listen to my songs after we spoke before boarding the plane.
I was ready to go up into the wild blue yonder!
I was ready to go share some memories with the sweet guy who sat next to me during the seven-hour flight.
I was ready to go back home, even though the weather was rainy in Boston.

.

Here’s my song about being ready to go.

.

Now I’m ready to go have fun on a beautiful Friday near Boston!

.

Thanks to all who help me get ready to go every morning, including YOU.

Day 4867: Wishes

Yesterday, on World Wish Day, I got my wish for a great last day in Barcelona. Now I wish to have a safe flight home to return to family and work that I love.

Who wishes to see today’s images?

Ray wishes safe travels and Janet wishes that more people would read her excellent books (here and here).

.

Here’s what I find when I search for wishes on YouTube:

On Thank You Thursday, I wish to thank all who are here for this daily blog, including YOU!

Day 4866: Heroes

As my time in Barcelona is winding toward a close, I am choosing to spend time with personal heroes, including amazing architect Antoni Gaudí and friends old and new.

Can you see heroes in my images for today?

Here are my friends Janet (who heroically writes wonderful books) and her heroic husband Ray, who were heroically trying to meet my longing for an architectural tour of Barcelona.
Ray, acting as tour guide, told me that this heroic monument was related to a mall being constructed that went horribly wrong. Janet heroically disagreed and said it was a salute to LEGOS
My heroic husband Michael, who heroically cooks amazing meals for me, would LOVE the fresh fish and produce in Barcelona.
People who embrace change are heroes of mine.
Gaudí used heroically unconventional design methods, including working from scale models.
My new friend birthday girl Dedra, who is a hero for working in behavioral health.
William, me, and Dedra — three behavioral health heroes vacationing in Barcelona!

.

On World Wish Day I hope that all my heroes get their wishes met in this world. .

Here’s a YouTube video about Barcelona’s hero Gaudí:

Thanks to all my heroes, including YOU!

Day 4859: Because we love this place

Because we love this place, I’m sharing this photo I took in the gift shop of Barcelona’s Sagrada Família.

.

Because we love this place, many of us hope that Earth Day 2026 will remind people to take good care of our home.

Because we love this place of blogging, I am going to share many images of places I love today.

Because we love this place, Jeanette, Ray, and I are loving the bells in the Passion Tower of Sagrada Família.
Because we love this place we’re staying, here’s a picture and audio of the wild parrots living outside!
Because we love this place (Good Times Barcelona) here’s a picture of wonderful Dennis (who loved my song Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole).

Because we love this place, we’ll get through our current reality together.

.

Thanks to all who are here for the places I love, including YOU!

Day 4858: Phoning it in

Today’s Daily Bitch Calendar is about phoning it in.

.

Because I’m in Barcelona and left my laptop at home, I am totally phoning it in when I blog, take photos, and connect with my husband and cats back home.

And regarding the usual meaning of that phrase …

.

… while I’ll never be phoning it in that way, I would like to reduce my usual perfectionism and worry-based efforts while maintaining my enthusiasm and engagement.

It’s time for me to be phoning it in with my images for today.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “phoning it in” on YouTube:

.

I look forward to people phoning it in with their comments, below.

Thanks to all who are here for this phoning-it-in post, including YOU!

Day 4857: Comfort

I take comfort in the fact that I’ve safely started another travel adventure with comforting friends.

I hope you find comfort in my images for today.

It was a comfort to connect with kind-eyed David in the TSA line.
It’s a comfort to travel with Ray and Janet again.

It’s a comfort to be off the dating apps since I met my husband Michael on one.

It’s a comfort to be in beautiful Barcelona with friends.

.

Thanks to all who give me comfort, including YOU!
