Day 4957: Peace of Mind

Yesterday, in my Coping and Healing group, the mindfulness exercise was focusing on peace of mind.

Lately, I’ve been struggling to attain peace of mind. My mind has been going into the future (specifically my upcoming solo trip to Switzerland) with worry and anxiety. It’s also very difficult for me to attain peace of mind when corrupt people are in positions of power.

When I asked about peace of mind on social media last night, some people asked for a definition.

Blogging helps my peace of mind and I hope my images today help yours.

.

Some people tell me that rain helps their peace of mind. Let’s see what the chances of rain are on rain day.

What a coincidence!

Today, I’m hoping that my yearly echocardiogram helps my peace of mind about my ongoing heart health.

When I search for peace of mind on YouTube, I find this …

.

… and this.

.

Thanks to all who help me attain peace of mind, including YOU!

Day 4908: Vision Boards

If I had a vision board, it might include pages of the Daily Bitch Calendar.

.

For anyone who needs one, I just asked for a definition of vision boards.

.

Because I’m very inquisitive, my vision board might include questions.

.

Do you see anything else here suitable for a vision board?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for vision boards on YouTube:

Maybe I’ll create a vision board about my aspirations for my music and my therapy groups.

What would you include on your vision board(s)? I’d include gratitude on mine.

Day 4580: Finding the Right Words

Here and now, I’m working on finding the right words for today’s blog post.

If I’m too focused on finding the right words, I might hesitate to communicate complex thoughts and feelings.

Often I’m finding the right words as I go along. I try to let go of too much judgment about what the right words and wrong words are.

Before I have an important interaction with someone, I spend some time finding the right words, but then I try to have faith in my ability to find good enough words in the moment.

Will we be finding the right words in my images for today?

.

Do you think the Daily Bitch is finding the right words?

Here’s what I find when I search for “finding the right words” on YouTube.

.

Now I’m finding the right words to end this post.

Day 4248: National Aviation Day

Happy National Aviation Day, everyone!

.

I’m going to observe National Aviation Day with activities that might promote interest in aviation. I’ll be flying out of the USA at 6 AM and landing in Canada. My son will be observing the day by flying from Halifax to Calgary to meet me.

Here are my other images for National Aviation Day:

Thanks to all who are here for this National Aviation Day post, including YOU!

Day 4182: No Need to Apologize

“No need to apologize” is something I say in my therapy groups quite often, so I’ve started writing a new song with that title.

©️Ann Koplow, 2024

No need to apologize if you think that needs work.

Do you see no need to apologize in my images for the day?

.

The Daily Bitch sees no need to apologize and neither do I.

Here’s what I find when I search for “no need to apologize” on YouTube:

.

No need to apologize if you do or don’t leave a comment, below.

I have no need to apologize but I do need to thank all who are here, now, including YOU!

Day 3501: Social media

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re all engaging in social media now. Here are some definitions and quotes about social media:

.

I am now going to steal your time and contribute to my own digital footprint and personal brand. Ready?

Am I being an asshole on social media if I think that “Check with local organizations for dates near you” is funny in a description of National Night Out Day?

Social thanks to all who follow me on social media, including you!

Day 3138: Take a Break

Yesterday, when I was taking a break from work, I noticed this on Twitter:

Since we’re not able to take a break from the world-wide pandemic, it’s especially important for us to practice the ability to take a break.

I couldn’t help but notice this way to take a break:

… since we’re going to take a break this afternoon to meet this kitty in her foster home:

Her name is Ginger but Michael wants to call her Joan.

Harley, seen here taking a break in the curtains …

… will soon be taking a long break from being the only cat in this household.

Now it’s time to take a break by looking at my other images for the day.

Time to take a break with this song from Hamilton:

I hope you can take a break and leave a comment about this take-a-break post, below.

At least take a break to take in my gratitude to all who help me blog every day, including you!

Day 3109: Starting today

Starting today, I am going to

  • be braver,
  • not assume,
  • breathe more deeply,
  • be less afraid of other people’s anger,
  • take more breaks, and
  • only Tweet when I’m at home, because I’m close to exceeding my monthly mobile phone data.

Starting today, if I’ve overslept and I’m running late in the morning, I’m not going to feel guilty about throwing my blog post together quickly without much explanation or organization.

Starting today, if I don’t have time to include music or a video in my blog post, I shall feel no guilt.

This is not starting today, but as usual I feel and express gratitude for everyone in my life, including YOU!

Day 2849: Hold on to your face masks.

Yesterday, when I was holding on to my face masks and visiting the hospital where I work to get my yearly flu shot and to get a hospital-quality mask, I saw this:

Hold on to your face masks! I have a LOT of photos to share with you today.

Hold on to your face masks — there are only fifteen days until the U.S. election, when we the people hope to get rid of the other person with the problem.

Here‘s the Hamilton Mask-up Parody Medley by The Holderness Family:

Hold on to your face masks and hold on to my gratitude to all who help me create these daily posts, including YOU.

Day 2829: Fault

Whose fault is it that I can’t abide bullies who refuse to recognize when they are at fault?

Do you see fault in any of my photos from yesterday?

Whose fault is it that I am blogging rather than sleeping at 3 AM? Is it because some idiot is debating a challenger for the USA presidency later today?

Here‘s Manny Walters with “My Own Fault” for the Sofar Sounds Artist Fund.

Whose fault is it that I am so grateful, here and now ?
