You make me think back to how I used to be an avid letter exchanger with my college friends back a lot of decades ago, Ann, but the advent of email and then texting pushed us toward those methods of communication, which alas seem now to be somehow less satisfying to the soul. Yet we do not return to letter-writing, no.

My favorite part of the Olympics is seeing small, often remote countries represented, usually with only one or two athletes. I like to think that athletes from places like Tuvalu will find friends there.
