Day 4315: I don’t understand

I don’t understand many things, including why statistician Nate Silver from famed website FiveThirtyEight (and I don’t understand why it’s called that) felt the need to share that his “gut” tells him that Trump will win the election even though nobody should trust their gut.

I don’t understand so much about this election and I understand that I am not alone.

.

I don’t understand what a “Lemar” is. Oh! I don’t understand why lemur is misspelled in that list.

Here’s what I find when I search for “I don’t understand” on YouTube:

.

I don’t understand why I’ve never heard of Eric D’Alessandro before.

Thanks to him, to Thich Nhat Hanh, and to all who are here for this I-don’t-understand post, including YOU!

Day 4225: Being Peace

Yesterday, when I was trying to settle my mind, I went for a morning walk and listened to “Being Peace” by Thich Nhat Hanh.

.

As I practice being peace (instead of worrying about peace), the world looks different to me.

.

Here is “Being Peace.”

.

Thanks to all who are here for this “Being Peace” blog, including YOU.

Day 3358: Nice things

When our cats scratch the furniture or otherwise create havoc in our material world, my husband Michael says, “See, Ann? This is why we can’t have nice things.”

I think that’s a nice thing and a funny thing for Michael to say, because, at this point in our lives, we’d rather have nice cats than nice things.

Do you see nice things in my other images for today?

Here’s “Nice Things” by the nicely amazing Hayes Carll.

I’m thankful for all the nice things, cats, and people in my world, including YOU!
