I had a good day yesterday, despite these being bad days for democracy and human rights.
Can you see why yesterday was a good day for me?
.
Uploading this to my YouTube channel yesterday reminded me of a good day last year when I gave a concert of my original songs and donated all the proceeds to ActBlue.
.
What’s a good day for you?
Thanks to all who help me have a good day, including YOU!
It’s the week when I return to work after two weeks of vacation, during which I traveled with my son in Canada and also gave a concert of my original songs to fundraise for ActBlue.
This is also the week when I include weekly holidays for the first time in my blog.
It’s also the week when the USA election starts to feel very close. Actually, it’s another week when I can’t believe how close the race for President is, considering how weak the Republican candidate is.
Can you tell what week it is from my other images for today?
.
It’s another week when I’m glad we have cats.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “what week is it?”
.
What week is it? It’s a busy week when I am very grateful for YOU.
Last June, I decided it would be incomparable to start my show of original songs — which includes incomparable audience participation — by asking someone from the audience to introduce me. Much to my surprise, my incomparable but camera-shy husband, Michael, ran up to the microphone and said, “Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the lush Lilypad. And now, the incomparable Ann Koplow!”
Yesterday, I started the show the same way, and this time, my incomparable son, Aaron (who flew back to Halifax after the show) came up to the mic and also called me “incomparable.”
Let’s check the definition of “incomparable,” shall we?
.
All I know is that many incomparable people were there yesterday contributing to ActBlue, including beloved friends, family, and my incomparable dentist, Dr Luis Del Castillo, who contributed a few of these incomparable images (my incomparable friend Deb took several others).
That’s the incomparable Riccardo Pearlman, who taught me how to play drums for “It’s Hard to Get Shit Done When You’re Scared Shitless.”That’s the incomparable hair stylist Mia playing the bongo drums on my beat poem “Hard to Say.”This is near the end of my incomparably long song “I Don’t Wanna Be Late, Don’t Wanna Be Early Either” which included incomparable verses written by audience members. My husband’s incomparable friend Irene gave me those incomparable blue flowers after the concert.
Because it’s Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, here is the incomparable Joan!
.
Here’s the incomparably long version of “I Don’t Wanna Be Late, Don’t Wanna Be Early Either” on YouTube:
Soon, the incomparable Riccardo Pearlman will be sending me professional sounding and looking performance videos for my YouTube channel.
I look forward to your incomparable comments.
Thanks to all the incomparable people in my life, including YOU!
During these unprecedented times, comfort zones can be few and far between.
I will be returning to my comfort zone of The Lily Pad in Cambridge on August 31 to give another concert. This time all profits will go to ActBlue, as I try to help keep the USA a comfort zone for like-minded citizens.
Here’s the link to buy tickets or just donate to ActBlue:
Because of uncertainties and concerns about the upcoming USA election in November, parades of worried thoughts keep passing through my mind.
To distract myself, I’ve been focusing on things I can control, like choosing to attend a local July 4 parade yesterday. Also, while I was walking around my neighborhood before that parade, a new idea paraded through my mind: doing another concert of my original songs with all proceeds going to ActBlue, which supports Democrats in elections nationwide.
Are you ready for the parade of images in my blog post for today?
.
I’ll be working on National Workaholics Day, witnessing and trying to alleviate parades of problems in group and individual therapy.
Here’s what I find when I search for “parades” on YouTube:
.
I also find this about the return of Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, which I remember being entranced by 50 years ago.
.
I look forward to the parade of comments from my readers, including YOU!
