They say that good things come to those who wait. I guess I’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the USA to do a good thing and elect its first woman President.
I can’t wait to thank all those who help me wait, including YOU!
I spent all day yesterday debating with myself about whether to worry about Kamala Harris debating with Donald Trump.
My debating worries fell away as I watched her debating skills and engaged with people on Twitter about the debating.
I can’t believe that after that amazing debating performance, analysts are debating whether that debate will change anybody’s vote. I also can’t believe that so many people are debating voting for the debasing Donald Trump.
Now I’m debating what else to include in this blog post.
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “debating” on YouTube.
.
There is no debating the gratitude I have for all those who are showing up here and now, including YOU!
I’m smart enough to start this post with a definition and quotes from smart people.
.
I’m hoping there are enough smart people in the USA to elect a smart woman as our next President.
Do you see anything smart in my other images for today?
.
It’s August 14 and my smart son and I will be meeting up in Canada for our trip across the Rockies very soon. I hope I’m smart enough to pack everything I need (including my INR monitor and my ukulele). I can’t wait for us to meet my smart blogging friend Maureen!
Here’s what I find when I search for “smart” on YouTube.
.
I’m not smart enough to remember whether I’ve shared that video before but I am smart enough to have a coin-flip app on my phone to help me expend less energy on minor decisions.
What kind of smart is that?
Thanks to all who help me create smart posts, including YOU!
I love the way the Democrats are working together to elect Kamala Harris President of the United States.
In the meantime, I’m working together with some very talented people to create an album/videos of my original songs. Here are Riccardo Pearlman and Nat Shirley (who co-wrote “Nobody’s Perfect” with me) working together at my place yesterday:
.
Do you see others working together in the rest of my images for today?
.
On Presidential Joke Day, I hope we are all working together to make sure that we don’t elect another Presidential Joke.
Here are Nat Shirley and I working together on “Nobody’s Perfect” five years ago at an Open Mic:

Soon, because Riccardo Pearlman and I are working together, there will be better recordings/videos of my songs to share.
Thanks to all who are working together, here and now, including YOU!
Joe Biden has been declared the next President of the United States. Again.
Wait for it.
I sang “The Impossible Wait” at a remote Open Mic last night.
Wait for it.
I had to wait until everybody else had performed first.
Wait for it.
My ex-husband wrote me this: “That was worth waiting for. I hope it was recorded. If it gets posted online it could make you a star.”
Wait for it.
Wait for the photos I took yesterday.
Wait for it.
It takes steadiness, character, and commitment to wait for it.
For those who are waiting for my 3000th blog post, I’ll be publishing that on a very special day.
Wait for it.
Unless I’ve miscounted,* that special day is the long-awaited inauguration of Joe Biden as President and Kamala Harris as Vice President of the United States.
Wait for that day, along with millions of others. Good things come to those who wait.
If you have any thoughts and feelings about this wait-for-it post, don’t wait to express yourself in a comment, below.
Wait for my gratitude to all who have helped me create this daily blog since January 1, 2013, including YOU.
* I TOTALLY miscounted. Next time, I’ll wait to check my math before I publish a post. Those will both be special days, but not the same one. I’ve been waiting to be more forgiving of myself when I make mistakes, and that special day is here!
Yesterday, after Joe Biden was finally projected to be the next President of the United States, there was dancing in the streets!
While there was dancing in the streets all around the world, I took these photos on a gorgeous day:
Michael didn’t dance in the streets with my friend Barbara and me, but he danced in his own way yesterday.
I’m looking forward to many more days of dancing in the streets (which I do when I listen to music, no matter what day it is). There’s sure to be a lot more hope and joy in my street dancing now.
Thanks to Barbara, Michael, everybody dancing in the streets, and YOU!
