Day 4751: Good

My good son Aaron told me yesterday that he is learning the language Toki Pona, which means “language of good.”

.

In Toki Pona, “pona” means good and I hope you see pona in my images for today.

I’m working on a good cover for the AI version of my good song “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole.”
My good son with my good husband.
Doesn’t this look good?
This is Miriam, our very good server at Bar ‘Cino, who also plays “keys”!
My good relative Deborah recommended this good book.
More good food, at Le Madeline.

.

Here’s a good video about the good language my good son is learning.

.

Thanks to all the good people who are here for this good blog post, including YOU!

Day 4695: Fabulous

Yesterday, when I was spending a fabulous day with my fabulous, life-long friend Barbara, I saw this:

.

Barbara and I agree that we are both still fabulous after all the fabulous and not-so-fabulous things we have survived together.

What is the most fabulous image in today’s post?

.

Barbara and I both thought The Wicked Pickers, who were playing at Arlington Open Studios yesterday, were fabulous.

.

.

Thanks to all the fabulous people who read this blog, including YOU!

Day 4681: Little known facts

Ready for some little known facts?

.

Do you see little known facts in my other images for today?

.

Here are some more little known facts:

October 26 was my late parents’ wedding anniversary.

I’ve started writing two new songs today — “I’d Rather Be With You Than Be Alone” and “ChatGPT Thinks I’m Great.”

Here’s what I find when I search for “Little Known Facts” on YouTube:

.

I hope it is not a little known fact that I am very grateful for YOU!

Day 4680: What I’m Going To Do Today

This is what I’m going to do today:

  • Talk to people I love.
  • Solve word puzzles.
  • Take Joan our cat out for a walk.
  • Let Joan take me for a walk.
  • Go food shopping with my husband Michael.
  • Watch a Man from U.N.C.L.E. movie that was on Turner Classic Movies (!) last week.
  • Fill out the form for my appearance on the Therapist Uncensored podcast.
  • Read the book Secure Relating: Holding Your Own in an Insecure World.
  • Listen to Patti Smith’s audiobook Just Kids.
  • Work on my new song “What’s Wrong With Looking Older.”
  • Eat more chocolates from the Godiva Collection given to me by a patient.
  • Ask some questions on social media.
  • Try to promote my music.
  • Have a wonderful meal at a local Vietnamese Restaurant
  • Watch an episode of Supervet or Murderbot with Michael.
  • Take photos for tomorrow’s blog.

This is what I’m NOT going to do today;

  • Watch the news.
  • Worry.

What I’m going to do today also includes

Blogging!

.

What I’m going to do on World Pasta Day is eat one of the all-time great noodle dishes at that Vietnamese restaurant.

.

What I’m going to do today also includes sharing one of my songs on social media. Because I’m going to leave the house before I feel ready, I’ll share this one:

Thanks to all who actually care about what I’m going to do today, including YOU!

Day 4653: Putting It Together

Putting it Together is a great Stephen Sondheim song about being an artist.

.

Here is Barbra Streisand performing Putting It Together.

.

I love the way Putting it Together puts together the creative process with business realities for artists.

I’ve been working on my original song Artificial Intelligence and I’m almost done putting it together. I’ve been putting together two harmonizing vocal tracks, a ukulele track, and two tracks of my making different percussive noises — none of them artificial. After putting it together, I asked my honest and musically critical husband to listen to it and he liked it!

As I am putting it together, I have some hot spots in my vocals that I cannot fix with ChatGPT guiding me through GarageBand. That is preventing me from putting it together to finish this blog post and to start my day.

I will now focus on putting it together here.

.

Thanks to all who help me putting it together every day, including YOU!

Day 4634: Welcome back!

Welcome back to this blog as I experience my welcome back to my home town.

.

Welcome back to my usual array of (mostly unexplained) images as I navigate my way through each day.

Welcome back to my usual focus on groups!
I was trying to welcome my ex-husband’s new adopted kitty, who is understandably shy.
We will welcome back our son Aaron during the holidays.
Welcome back to interestingly titled merchandise.

.

Welcome back to my constant attempts to get my music out there into the world. Today, I may attend a protest in Cambridge (if I can find it) and welcome people to my song “You Don’t Scare Me.”

.

Welcome back to my constant gratitude for you!

Day 4382: When you’re feeling down

What do you do when you’re feeling down?

I spend time with creatures I love, listen to music, watch funny movies, eat yummy food, and collect images like these.

.

Today I’m feeling down because I have a cold (maybe because it’s Unlucky Day) and because I’m not looking forward to 2025.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “when you’re feeling down.”

.

Thanks to all who help me when I’m feeling down, including YOU!
