What do you do when you’re feeling down?
I spend time with creatures I love, listen to music, watch funny movies, eat yummy food, and collect images like these.

.
Today I’m feeling down because I have a cold (maybe because it’s Unlucky Day) and because I’m not looking forward to 2025.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “when you’re feeling down.”
.
Thanks to all who help me when I’m feeling down, including YOU!

When I am feeling down, I always look for something brooding and negative then build up.
That works, Stan!
remember when you’re feeling down, you’re still not out.
A helpful reminder, my friend.
Your use of the phrase “when you’re feeling down” puts me in mind of the song that always did it for me in the 60’s. “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Simon and Garfunkel. I was young enough that I could be “silver girl” and believe that my “dreams were on their way.”
Great song, Barbara, and great comment.
Sorry to hear that you have a cold. I hope you recover quickly and that it’s minor. Although you are not looking forward to 2025, I am greatly looking forward to reading your blog in 2025.
I greatly look forward to all interactions with you, my good friend.
The December 31 calendar page reminds me of an amusing comment from an entertainer on the cruise I recently took. The guests on the trip were mostly ages 65+ (some more plus than others). He said, “Yesterday we had guests enjoying the late might music, till 1, 2, and even 3 … minutes after 11!”
I hope your cold goes away quickly.
Thanks for sharing that, Debbie!
Some friends and I recently got into a discussion of Lou Reed, started when one of them talked about how much they loved Velvet Underground in their youth. That led to me to go back to “Sweet Jane” which I haven’t listened to in a long time. Its central message seems made for right now: anyone who ever had a heart wouldn’t turn around and break it and anyone who ever played a part wouldn’t turn around and hate it.
Thanks for having a heart and playing a part, my good friend.
The Bob Dylan movie got me thinking a lot about the man and his music, Ann. I’m glad I got to see a handful of his shows live, up and down as they were at that point of his life and career. The movie reminded me of his genius at the start … and Timothee Chalomet was outstanding!
Good to know, Mark!
