Putting it Together is a great Stephen Sondheim song about being an artist.

I love the way Putting it Together puts together the creative process with business realities for artists.
I’ve been working on my original song Artificial Intelligence and I’m almost done putting it together. I’ve been putting together two harmonizing vocal tracks, a ukulele track, and two tracks of my making different percussive noises — none of them artificial. After putting it together, I asked my honest and musically critical husband to listen to it and he liked it!
As I am putting it together, I have some hot spots in my vocals that I cannot fix with ChatGPT guiding me through GarageBand. That is preventing me from putting it together to finish this blog post and to start my day.

Thanks to all who help me putting it together every day, including YOU!

Younare learning so many new things because of your music, Ann!

Reminds me of putting my novels together at the Sylvia Beach Hotel. Going through all of my notes from my writers’ group. Checking typos. Coordinating timelines. Checking for too many uses of certain words: was, started to, gerunds, very, really, just, suddenly, and the like.
We do are best putting it together, Barbara.
I love making collage art and that is how I put things together. also how I put my blogs together.
I love the way you are putting it together, beth.
So many things, as I bet Michael knows, are like cooking. It’s amazing how wildly different ingredients come together to make a great dish. It’s even more amazing when they come together without a recipe, just knowledge and instinct.
Thanks for putting together another amazing comment, Chris.
