Because I spent so much time in the hospital when I was a kid during the unenlightened times when parents were not allowed to stay with their children, I have some abandonment issues.
When terrible people take too much control of our lives and there seems to be no rescue in sight, many of us have abandonment issues.
Because so many people are abandoning Twitter/X (with good reason!), I posted there yesterday about abandonment issues.
.
.
I deal with my abandonment issues by connecting with kind people, letting go of anxiety, reminding myself that I AM valued by others, creating and appreciating art, adopting abandoned cats, living my best life, and helping others with their abandonment issues through my work as a group therapist.
Do you see abandonment issues in my other images for today?
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “abandonment issues” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who help me deal with any abandonment issues, including YOU.
Yesterday, I saw a 2024 calendar claiming that good things are coming.
.
I was skeptical because I check the news every day and, if you do that, you would never think that good things are coming.
My husband Michael and I had a good conversation yesterday about how the news these days is not so much about what has happened, but more speculation about bad things that “experts” think are coming in the future. Bad things are coming, for sure, but chances are good things are coming, too.
Let’s hope that good things are coming in this blog post.
Personal growth is my game and Ann Koplow is my name. As a matter of fact, I’ve tagged every blog post I’ve written here with the category “personal growth” (the other constant tagged category is “photojournalism”).
Today, the Daily Bitch has something to say about personal growth.
One aspect of my personal growth has been embracing my inner Daily Bitch. And while I have not had enough of personal growth (if that were true, I wouldn’t return back to work today as an individual and group psychotherapist), I do want to join with the Daily Bitch declaring that I don’t HAVE to do any more personal growth work on myself. As I blogged here when I turned 70, I’ve worked very hard at many things (including personal growth) my whole life, and now it’s time to relax, coast, and not work so hard.
Of course, I’m open to all the personal growth that happens naturally if one is open to change and difference. And I’m 100% there for my patients’ personal growth.
Do you see personal growth in any of my other images for today?
There’s a lot on YouTube about personal growth, including this:
Thanks to all who join me in personal growth, including YOU!
In all of my careers — including marketing communications and psychotherapy — I’ve thought a lot about communcating important messages.
In order to effectively deliver important messages, you need to
know your audience and
choose clear, strong, passionate, and honest ideas to reach your audience and inspire them to action.
I believe that many important messages are getting lost in all the noise out there and I fear we are running out of time to communicate them effectively.
Do you see important messages in any of my images for today?
Important messages I received from being born with a very unusual heart is that life is short and every day counts.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “important messages.”
I look forward to the important messages that will appear in the comments section, below.
Gratitude is an important message I deliver at the end of every post, so thanks to all who help me deliver the daily messages in this blog, including YOU!
My intuition tells me to start this blog post with a definition of “intuition.”
My intuition told me to ask this question on Twitter last night:
.
My intuition tells me that we could all use a laugh these days.
.
My intuition tells me to blog every day and share images like these with you:
.
It looks like the Daily Bitch’s intuition has not served her well.
24 years ago, my intuition told me to get tested for endocarditis (a very dangerous heart inflammation) when I was eight months pregnant and running a fever. I had never had endocarditis but, for some reason, I felt like I might have it. The doctor told me I had the flu and that was why I had the fever but “since you’re here and because of your heart, I’ll test you.” A few days later, I got a phone call, “come into the hospital immediately, you have endocarditis.” They put me on IV antibiotics for six weeks and told me, “This might make the baby deaf.” It didn’t.
After my son was born, I said to my cardiologist, “Why do you think I asked to be tested for endocarditis? There was really no logical reason for me to do that.” He said, “I think somebody up there is looking out for you.” My intuition told me that it was my late father, who had died the year before.
This is what I find on YouTube when I search for “intuition.”
My intuition tells me I will get some great comments on this post.
Thanks to all who have good intuition, including YOU.
Yesterday, when I was loving people’s responses on Twitter, I asked this question:
Do you realize how many people do not realize that they are lovable? I don’t love that but I do love that many responded with “yes” and “I’m working on it.”
Do you realize how much I love sharing words and images here with you every day?
Do you realize how much I love snowy egrets, Jackie Chan, the Daily Bitch, and embracing whatever comes my way?
Do you realize that loving more (including loving ourselves) helps us love and appreciate each precious day?
