Day 4338: Abandonment issues

Because I spent so much time in the hospital when I was a kid during the unenlightened times when parents were not allowed to stay with their children, I have some abandonment issues.

When terrible people take too much control of our lives and there seems to be no rescue in sight, many of us have abandonment issues.

I don’t want to abandon anybody who wants to know more about abandonment issues, so here’s an AI summary:

.

Because so many people are abandoning Twitter/X (with good reason!), I posted there yesterday about abandonment issues.

.

.

I deal with my abandonment issues by connecting with kind people, letting go of anxiety, reminding myself that I AM valued by others, creating and appreciating art, adopting abandoned cats, living my best life, and helping others with their abandonment issues through my work as a group therapist.

Do you see abandonment issues in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “abandonment issues” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who help me deal with any abandonment issues, including YOU.

Day 3897: Home

After a week getting my son settled in Halifax (and myself settled about him settling in Halifax), I’m home!

I’m glad and grateful to be home and I hope you are too. Here are some quotes about home:

.

Do you see home in my images for today?

.

During International Enthusiasm Week, I have a lot of enthusiasm about home!

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “home.”

.

Thanks to all who help me feel at home no matter where I am, including YOU!

Day 3883: Pictures to share with the world

Yesterday, on World Photography Day, I asked people what pictures they would like to share with the world.

Here are some pictures to share with the world.

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “pictures to share with the world.”

.

What would you like to share with the world, here and now?

Here are two more pictures to share with the world.

Day 3882: Trying something new

To battle my perfectionism about singing, I’m trying something new: I’m going to deliberately miss notes when singing in front of my musical husband and son.

My son will be trying something new when he starts his PhD program in mathematics next month and we’ll both be trying something new when we travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia, next week to get him settled in his new residence.

There’s always a chance for trying something new.

.

Consider trying something new on Break the Monotony Day (and every other day)!

Here’s “trying something new” on YouTube:

.

Now I’m trying something new by typing a simple thanks to YOU.

Day 3881: Boomers

Yesterday, on Baby Boomers Recognition Day, this Boomer asked a question about Boomers.

.

Those answers about Boomers inspired me to start writing this song:

Because I’m a Boomer with many ideas and limited time, maybe that’s just a stand-alone poem.

Do you see signs of Boomers in my other images for today?

.

This Boomer, on Bad Poetry Day and Serendipity Day, is resolving to never give up.

When I search for “boomers” on YouTube, I find this …

… and this:

Thanks to all who are visiting with this Boomer here and now, including YOU.

Day 3877: Trending Now

What’s trending now, here, includes dealing with the peeling paint on our metal ceiling and preparing for my son Aaron starting a mathematics PhD program in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While people were helping me with both of those issues, I saw this:

.

What’s trending now also includes Climate Change, so I’m writing a song about that.

Do you see what’s trending now in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “trending now.”

.

Gratitude is trending now and always here, so thanks to all who help me figure out what’s trending now, including YOU.

Day 3876: All your feelings are welcome

“All your feelings are welcome” is something I say in my Coping and Healing groups. At the end of the group, I often add “including disappointment” to remind people that the welcomed feelings include “negative” ones they might be judging or not expressing.

Yesterday, as all my feelings were welcome by my friend Barbara and her boyfriend Jim, I noticed that our server at Condesa Restaurante Mexicano was wearing different feelings:

She told us she had created that other side of the happy octopus.

I hope she knew that all her feelings were welcomed by us.

All your feelings are welcome about my other images for today.

All your feelings are welcome about those holidays and observances. Personally, I’ll be celebrating International Lefthander’s Day with feeling!

All your feelings are welcome about comedian Leanne Morgan, who was recommended to me yesterday by Jim.

.

All your feelings are welcome in the comments section, below.

Thanks to all who helped me create this all-your-feelings-are-welcome post, including YOU!

Day 3875: Decisions

When I first made the the decision to start this daily blog on January 1, 2013, I wrote about making decisions in my “About” page.

.

Ten years later, I’m more comfortable about making decisions and my process for doing so.

Every morning, I need to make many decisions about how to create my latest blog post. What decisions do you see in my images for today?

.

Today, I’m going to make some decisions about (1) my vacation starting a week from today, (2) how to add music to the song lyrics I shared here yesterday, and (3) what YouTube video to include in this post.

What decisions are you making, here and now?

Thanks to all who help me make decisions, including YOU.
