When I told people about my trip to Halifax this week, I described it as “helping my son get settled as he starts a PhD program in math.” I realized very soon after I got here that I was mostly here to help MYSELF get settled about this new phase in our lives.
Get settled for today’s images as we continue to get settled in Halifax.

.
I honestly don’t know how to be a lazy mom, but I’ll celebrate ginger cat appreciation day by sharing this photo of the two ginger cats who will be helping Aaron get settled in his Halifax household.

.
And I look forward to appreciating my ginger cat Joan when I get settled back in Boston tomorrow.

Michael thinks Joan will get settled when I return.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “get settled Halifax.”
.
Thanks to all who help me get settled every day, including YOU!

so funny, when I read your opening sentence, that made so much sense to me, it’s really more about us getting settled with a new situation, more than us helping the other )
You get it, beth!
Now that you know Aaron can find a cat walking on a leash in Halifax, all might be well with you when you’re back in Boston, Ann. That photo surely makes me smile this morning!
My smile is settling in as I read your comment, my friend.
Your visit to Halifax would have made a great episode of Househunters International (my go-to comfort TV). I wrote a piece once on the best way of getting to know a new house was to clean it, but probably Aaron won’t feel the need to find every nook and corner of his new digs. Maybe he can just settle for hunting down the outlets. Good luck to both of you.
Thanks for helping us get settled, Barbara!
Harbour hopping looks like a hair-raising experience in the best possible way. It also looks like Aaron is already settled.
Thanks for always settling me with your best possible words, Chris.
