Day 4760: Fragile

How fragile is this country? How fragile are relationships? How fragile are people’s feelings?

As a therapist, I often deal with people’s fears about what seems fragile. I invite them to consider that things and people may not be as fragile as they fear.

In my groups, members talk about having to walk on eggshells around others and also about how liberating it feels when they shift that fragile mindset.

Personally, I’ve been feeling less fragile lately as I focus on the fact that I am still alive and healthy after 73 challenging years.

Last night, on my way home from work, I saw this:

.

Do you see anything fragile in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “fragile” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who are here for this fragile post, including YOU!

Day 4367: At this point

At this point, I’m happy to start a blog post with the Daily Bitch Calendar.

.

At this point, I’ll share the latest cute cat video I posted online.

.

At this point, I’m surprised and grateful when a U.S. magazine tells it like it is.

.

At this point, I need to quickly share my other images for today so I can get to work at the hospital in time.

.

How are you doing at this point?

At this point, I always thank those who help me create these daily blog posts, including YOU!

Day 4129: Adventure

Before I start today’s adventure (which will include going to work at the hospital, trying to learn Epic software, exploring ticketing apps for my upcoming concert, attending a neighbor’s wake, and partaking in fried matzoh), I am looking for a definition of “adventure.”

.

Does an adventure always have to be hazardous? Let’s see what else I can find online about adventure.

.

I like that definition of adventure better. Let’s see if we can find any adventure in my other images for today.

.

Here’s what I find online when I search for adventure.

.

Thanks to all who accompany me here on this ongoing adventure, including YOU.

Day 3794: Ceilings

I am floored by all this upheaval about ceilings in the news. There seems to be no ceiling to the angst about the USA debt ceiling.

Do you see any important ceilings in today’s blog post?

It’s nice to have a new musical instrument under our ceilings on National Buy a Musical Instrument Day.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “ceilings.”

I also find this:

.

There is no ceiling to how indebted I am to all who help me create these blog posts, including YOU.

Day 1487: What is your greatest strength?

What is your greatest strength?

One of my greatest strengths is asking questions.

Earlier this week, I asked people in a therapy group what their greatest strengths were.  When somebody replied, “I don’t have any strength,” I changed my question to “What are your positive qualities?”

One of my greatest strengths is noticing interesting things around me and taking pictures of them.

It looks like Siri’s greatest strengths include answering questions but NOT driving a car.

A lot of women in the 1970s, including me, saw great strengths in the late Mary Tyler Moore.

Another one of my greatest strengths is expressing appreciation for others.  Thanks to all who helped me create this post and to you — of course! — for all your strengths (even if you don’t feel strong).
