Day 4152: Expectations

My expectations about my upcoming concert/live album taping keep changing. Actually, I am trying to let go of expectations in order to stay in the moment and enjoy the process, no matter who shows up and how it all goes.

Do you have expectations about this blog post and do you see expectations in my images for today?

.

Here‘s what I find on YouTube when I search for “expectations.”

.

Thanks to all who helped me create this “expectations” post, including YOU!

Day 4145: Wellness

When I’m in a state of wellness, everything seems easier.

Do you see wellness in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “wellness.”

.

I’m noticing that TED talk on wellness happened right before the COVID lockdown, which greatly affected people’s experience of wellness.

What are your thoughts and feelings about wellness?

Thanks to all who contribute to my wellness, including YOU.

Day 3949: Ability

Because I have the ability to do so, lately I’ve been thinking a great deal about ability. I wonder if I have the ability to

  • make tricky decisions,
  • remain optimistic and eager about life as the years go by,
  • remember everything I need to function effectively,
  • convince medical treaters where I work to attend burnout-reducing Balint groups,
  • balance my needs with others’ needs,
  • overcome my fears to create and successfully pull off a concert of my original songs,
  • make this blog, which always helps me, helpful to you, and
  • organize today’s images into a good enough story.

.

I have the ability to observe several of those, including National I Care About You Day.

Here’s what I find when I search for “ability” on YouTube.

.

If you have the ability and inclination to comment about this Ability post, please do so below.

I always have the ability to thank everyone who helps me create this daily blog, including YOU!

Day 3887: Weather Complaint Day

Today is Weather Complaint Day, which seems well-timed for all the people feeling the effects of human-made climate change around the world (which the Republican candidates for President denied in last night’s debate).

My personal weather complaint is this: the forecasted rainfall is dampening my plans to walk with my son tomorrow morning to catch a ferry to Logan Airport. And now that I check the 10-day forecast for Halifax, Nova Scotia, there might be some weather complaints there, too.

Here are my images for Weather Complaint Day:

.

Now that I’ve celebrated Weather Complaint Day with you, I can celebrate International Strange Music Day by working on my strange Climate Change Song and another strange song I started writing yesterday — “I Don’t Wanna Be Late (I Don’t Wanna Be Early Either).”

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “Weather Complaint Day.”

.

Thanks to all who help me weather whatever weather there is, whether or not I feel prepared, including YOU!

Day 3858: Mistakes

Today’s blog post is full of mistakes and I’m good with that.

.

Unless I’m mistaken, I think we already had a National All or Nothing Day. All-or-nothing thinking is a very common cognitive distortion — mistakes we all make.

It would be a mistake for me not to recommend the wonderful TV show Jury Duty, which includes many mistakes.

Here’s what I find when I look for mistakes on YouTube.

.

Here are more mistakes on YouTube.

.

Make no mistake, I’m grateful to all who help me deal with mistakes, including YOU!

Day 3837: What’s real?

What’s real is today’s Daily Bitch Calendar.

.

What’s real, anyway?

.

I’m real grateful to be here and sharing today’s images with you.

.

What’s real is that I really hope I’m not a workaholic, but I think my work is real helpful to lots of people.

Here’s what I find when I search for “what’s real” on YouTube.

YouTube seems to know that I’m real interested in cats.

What’s real is my gratitude to all who help me create these daily posts, including YOU.

Day 3822: Stochastic

“Stochastic” seems like a great title for today’s stochastic blog post.

My stochastic thoughts now include wondering whether I should replace the word “random” with “stochastic,” as in “that’s so stochastic” and “who’s that stocho who was just talking to you?”

Here are my stochastic images for the day.

.

The Daily Bitch is so stochastic.

Here’s what I find when I search for “stochastic” on YouTube:

.

Is it stochastic that this video also showed up …

.

… and then this one?

.

Stochastic thanks to all who help me create my stochastic posts, including YOU!

Day 3809: Sometimes

Sometimes, I

  • get self-conscious,
  • overthink things,
  • believe I’m alone when I’m not,
  • focus on the past,
  • expect the worst in the future,
  • lose track of the riches of the present,
  • forget I have years of experience solving all sorts of problems,
  • don’t have a lot of photos to share, and
  • highlight the Daily Bitch.

Sometimes I eat Chocolate Ice Cream. No times I run, go to a tailor, or use a VCR.

Here’s a “sometimes” song that’s playing in my head:

Sometimes I have dinner with my son Aaron, my husband Michael, and my ex-husband Leon, and tonight is one of those times.

Sometimes I ask for comments on a post; all times I feel and express gratitude for those who sometimes read this blog, including YOU!

Day 3802: Headline news

In my Coping and Healing groups (which may become headline news if I ever write an article about them), I sometimes ask this question: If there were a cable news network devoted to you, what would be today’s headline?”

Do you see headline news in my images for today?

.

I believe that Weird Al has a song titled “Headline News.” Let’s see …

Headline news: 70-Year-Old Local Woman Correctly Remembers Name of Song.

Is it headline news that I’m very grateful to YOU?
