After I asked a question about personal bests on Twitter last night, somebody wanted a definition of personal bests. I guess he wanted to do his personal best answering the question.
I don’t know if this blog post will be my personal best, but I enjoy witnessing and sharing personal bests.
Now I’m going to do my personal best to arrange today’s images in a coherent and helpful order.

I do remember as a teenager that I was convinced I would be either dead or crazy by the time I was thirty. Well now I’m 81, and I’m not dead.

When the movie Nope came out I read something that called it “Jordan Peele’s masterpiece”. I think there’s always a chance to make something better as long as we keep creating new things but it’s also good to enjoy our successes.

It’s helpful to allow for the possibility that your worst fear won’t come true. Sometimes it does, though. That’s because our very worst fears are the things that really do happen to people, some of them happened to everybody in time. What we can hope for, is that we will handle them with grace.
