When I was in Barcelona earlier this week, my fun purchases included earrings that look like tomatoes.
I wore those earrings yesterday to remind my husband to buy tomato plants (among other fun purchases) at a local garden shop.
I think it’s important to continue to make fun purchases even during undeniably unfun times.
What other fun purchases do you see in my images for today?
This is Frank from our favorite restaurant, Brassica, where we have made so many fun purchases over the years. This is one of our favorite fun purchases: Frank’s Flan. Thanks, Frank!
I am sleepless in Boston because I’m excited about giving two concerts of my original songs this week and also attending my 50th college reunion.
Because I’m sleepless in Boston, I’ve been making more mistakes. For example, last night when I was trying to clean up my phone, I accidentally deleted two apps: Threads (a Twitter-like site) and another one I’m hoping isn’t important.
Another thing about being sleepless in Boston is that it’s harder to tell what is and isn’t important.
Do any of my photos reflect that I’m sleepless in Boston?
.
Whenever I’m sleepless in Boston, I remember the helpful book The Sleep Solution, and how my takeaway from that was “Don’t worry about it!”
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “sleepless in Boston.”

Seeing that Epik High video might keep me sleepless in Boston as I try to figure out how to get crowds like that at future concerts. Maybe my new song, which I just started writing, will help.
In June, I’ll be manifesting my dreams by singing and recording my original songs with people I love. I have a lot of work to do before I’ll be manifesting my dreams and it reduces my anxiety to be manifesting this wisdom: I have all the time that I need.
Now I’ll be manifesting my dreams of a hopefully helpful daily blog by sharing these images.
.
Here’s what I find when I search for “manifesting my dreams” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who help me in manifesting my dreams, including my dear friend Jeanette (whose birthday is today) and YOU!
Yesterday was the Seinfeld-created holiday of Festivus, which includes the airing of grievances. I can’t exactly remember the other Festivus rituals (something with a pole) because the airing of grievances is so compelling and memorable.
It occurs to me that my job — group and individual therapy — usually includes the airing of grievances, so that people can get validation for their feelings and then move on to achievable next steps.
For me, the airing of grievances, here and now, would include
My jaw is still snapping, crackling, and popping whenever I talk, sing, or eat (three of my favorite activities),
How the media has been focusing on Donald Trump for years, and
How human beings so often express their grievances through close-mindedness, injustice, and killing.
Do you see the airing of grievances in my images for today?
I want to air my grievances with the Daily Bitch Calendar for having only one entry for every weekend.

Last night I saw my son for the first time since he moved to Halifax and as I was airing my grievances, anxiety, excitement, and other feelings about preparing for my concert/live album recording in June, we decided I should write a new song called “Don’t Kill Yourself.” I have to finish my musical airing of grievances in “Other People’s Anger” first, but I’ll get on that new tune as soon as I can.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “the airing of grievances.”
.
Let the airing of grievances begin in the comments section, below!
Thanks to all who witness the airing of grievances in this blog, including YOU.
And by the way, I have no problems with you people.
Yesterday, when I was talking to my “show biz” coach Jeff Leisawitz about creating an album of my songs I’d be proud of, he said, “the project itself is the healing.”
Creating things I’m proud of IS the healing, including this blog. Do you see the healing in today’s blogging project?
.
I’m going to hug my sweetheart today — another project that’s healing.
This is what I find on YouTube when I search for “the project itself is the healing.”
Thanks to the Daily Bitch’s imagination, now I’m imagining garrotting a co-worker with dental floss. And Spellcheck is trying to tell me that “garrotting” should be spelled “garroting.” What an imagination!
Here are two songs I love about imagination.
.
You can’t imagine how grateful I am for all those who help me use my imagination to create these daily posts, including YOU!
Yesterday, I braced myself for being late by foregoing my usual walk and jumping on a shuttle bus that runs between where I park and where I work. When the bus driver saw that I was bracing myself with my ukulele, she asked me to play for the passengers. I looked around and told people to brace themselves for my singing an original song called “Hidden Thoughts.” I braced myself for possible annoyance, disapproval, and/or lack of attention from the riders but, instead, the passengers looked up, smiled bracing smiles and even braced themselves to sing along! As more people got on the bus, I braced myself with more confidence and sang my latest song, “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” (which I’ll be bracing myself to sing at an Open Mic in two days). The reactions seemed 100% positive, which helped me brace myself for the rest of the day.
Brace yourself for more photos from me:
Brace yourself for my final photo, which shows what we did when we ran out of Hanukkah candles yesterday (and were unable to find any replacements at our local store):
I’ll brace myself for your reactions to seeing birthday candles in that Menorah.
Brace yourself for more bracing thanks from me to all who help me brace myself for the new day by writing this blog and — of course! — to YOU, for reading it.
Is your mind a blank here and now? If so, will you leave a blank comment?
Even when a card is blank inside ….
… it can still say “Thank You.”
Thanks to all who help me create these posts even when my mind’s a blank and — of course! — to you, for temporarily blanking out everything else to read this blog.
