Day 4165: Sleepless in Boston

I am sleepless in Boston because I’m excited about giving two concerts of my original songs this week and also attending my 50th college reunion.

Because I’m sleepless in Boston, I’ve been making more mistakes. For example, last night when I was trying to clean up my phone, I accidentally deleted two apps: Threads (a Twitter-like site) and another one I’m hoping isn’t important.

Another thing about being sleepless in Boston is that it’s harder to tell what is and isn’t important.

Do any of my photos reflect that I’m sleepless in Boston?

.

Whenever I’m sleepless in Boston, I remember the helpful book The Sleep Solution, and how my takeaway from that was “Don’t worry about it!”

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “sleepless in Boston.”

.

Seeing that Epik High video might keep me sleepless in Boston as I try to figure out how to get crowds like that at future concerts. Maybe my new song, which I just started writing, will help.

  1. May you drop off into restful slumber on Friday night. May you greet your concertgoers with a fresh face, a happy smile, and a plethora of delightful songs.

And there are ever so many devices for opening various sizes of jars to be found online – I have a few of them. Just sayin’, DB! 🙂

  2. I never think of you making mistakes. It occurs to me that thinking I’m the only one who makes mistakes contributes to a fear of making mistakes. Of course everyone makes mistakes and that fear is something I need to overcome.

  3. What, me worry?! Sage words of Alfred E. Newman.

Much success and congrats on the concert! No need to fear when you’re doing what you love.

  4. I no longer fear saying hard things, that need to be said. sleep when you can, enjoy the performance, and dream about it all later, hearing the songs in your head.

  5. Thanks for this helpful post, Christopher

Ann, your singing helps me face my fears! Truly! I’ll be cheering for you from Colorado – break a leg!
