Day 4730: Repairs

I thought about repairs, small and large, when I saw this sign yesterday.

.

Maybe that’s the best we can do: make small repairs while hoping that this world is not beyond repair.

Do you see repairs in my other images for today?

.

I am looking forward to future repairs as my son returns to Massachusetts tomorrow for the holidays!

Here’s what I find when I search for “repairs” on YouTube.

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about these repairs?

Thanks to all who are here for this repairs post, including YOU!

Day 4727: Strange

Yesterday, when I was driving home after a chiropractor appointment related to the strange noises I’ve been hearing in my head since August 2023 every time I talk, I saw this strange sign:

.

Apparently, there is room for the strange in my head and elsewhere.

This morning, I’ll be driving to see an acupuncturist who helped me get rid of a strange orange coating on my tongue years ago after many other practitioners kept asking me the same strange question, “Did you recently eat a bag of Cheetos?” I continue to have hope that somebody will help me get rid of these strange noises although I could always stop them just by shutting up.

Is it strange that I am now thinking about one of my favorite Tom Lehrer quotes?

.

I find it strange and wonderful that people have compared my songs to Tom Lehrer’s.

Do you see anything strange in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I look for “strange” on YouTube:

Day 4726: When I wake up in the morning

When I wake up in the morning, I immediately start thinking about creating this blog.

.

When I wake up in the morning, I hope that people will not be that stupid. Please!

When I wake up in the morning, I assume there will be a YouTube video that suits my blog post.

.

When I wake up in the morning, I am always grateful for people like YOU!

Day 4723: Emptiness

Last night, when I couldn’t sleep, I listened to this video about emptiness:

.

I appreciate the idea that emptiness (like silence) holds a place for possibility.

I’m hoping that the muscle relaxant I took last night will silence the annoying clicking noises I hear whenever I talk.

There will be emptiness and possibility in today’s blog post.

.

Thanks to all who are here for this emptiness post, including YOU!

Day 4718: Fun

Maybe because fun seems to be in short supply these days, many people I know have been resolving to have more fun.

For example, here’s a fun statement that was said during a therapy session yesterday about Thanksgiving:

Let’s put the “fun” back in family dysfunction.

I hope you have as much fun looking at today’s images as I had gathering them for you.

.

I just had fun reordering that calendar (which was called “the b-word” online) for next year.

Here’s a conversation about fun I just had with ChatGPT:

.

This reminds me to work on my fun song “ChatGPT Thinks I’m Great.”

Here’s what I find when I look for “fun” on YouTube:

.

That TED talk was so much fun, I watched it twice.

Day 4711: Talents

I have a talent for asking questions and I asked a question about talents last night.

.

I don’t seem to have a talent for promoting my songwriting/performing talent.

.

I don’t want that to discourage my talents and I don’t think it will.

Now I am going to use my talent for putting together daily blogs quickly by sharing my other images for the day.

.

I don’t think I have a talent for acting blase but I’ll try to work on that on Blase Day.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “talents” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who have talents, including YOU!

Day 4700: I’m doing a podcast before I feel ready

Today, I am going to be interviewed by Sue Marriott for the podcast Therapist Uncensored and I don’t feel ready. That relates to one of my songs (which I assume we’ll discuss), I Left the House Before I Felt Ready.

.

When I am doing something new, I don’t feel ready, certain, or sure. But I do it anyway, because I’m probably more ready than I realize.

Instead of getting ready for the podcast (eeek!), I’m ready enough to share my images for today. Ready or not, here they come!

.

Somehow, the Daily Bitch always seems ready.

Thanks to all who help me feel ready enough for anything, including YOU!

Day 4697: What’s the problem

When I was working at the hospital yesterday having many problems with the Epic computer system, I saw this sign:

.

What’s the problem? The problem is that problems with Epic are getting in the way of my getting my work done and that is a trigger for me.

What’s the problem with using music to explain psychological problems?

.

In my Coping and Healing group yesterday, one of the members said they found my Triggers song very helpful, so I had no problem singing it to the group.

If you have a problem understanding the lyrics “certain movements of eyes” in that song, it refers to EMDR therapy. Because I’ve been having so many problems with technology and I want no problems with my appearance on the Therapist Uncensored podcast this Friday, I have scheduled some EMDR sessions with my therapist.

In my work, I don’t like focusing on problems; I focus on solutions. Therefore, “What’s the problem?” is a question I rarely ask. Nevertheless, what’s the problem with my images for today?

I don’t have a problem with the results of an online personality test matching me with these fictional characters.

.

What’s the problem with you leaving a comment, below?

Day 4695: Fabulous

Yesterday, when I was spending a fabulous day with my fabulous, life-long friend Barbara, I saw this:

.

Barbara and I agree that we are both still fabulous after all the fabulous and not-so-fabulous things we have survived together.

What is the most fabulous image in today’s post?

.

Barbara and I both thought The Wicked Pickers, who were playing at Arlington Open Studios yesterday, were fabulous.

.

.

Thanks to all the fabulous people who read this blog, including YOU!

Day 4689: What is therapeutic?

What is therapeutic?

For me, it is

  • music,
  • nature,
  • nutritious and delicious food,
  • humor,
  • cats, and
  • connecting with others.

Do you see anything therapeutic in my images for today?

.

I wonder if anybody finds this when they search for “what is therapeutic?”

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “what is therapeutic?” on YouTube:

.

Now I need to leave for a therapeutic ferry ride into Boston so I can facilitate a therapeutic group.

What is therapeutic? Expressing gratitude, every day.
