Day 4784: Optimism

Despite everything that’s happening in the USA, I still wake up with optimism and choose to share that optimism with others.

I have optimism that you’ll agree that this is a good image for a blog post about optimism.

.

I captured that image yesterday on my way to an acupuncture appointment; I still have optimism about reducing the annoying clicking noises I hear whenever I talk or sing.

I also have optimism that the taped episode about my original songs will air on the Therapist Uncensored podcast soon.

I have optimism that my return to the Jam’n Java Open Mic tonight will go well.

And I have optimism that I might get a show at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

I am holding on to optimism while also practicing radical acceptance that outcomes might not be what I hope. I have optimism that I can maintain this tricky balance well enough.

Do you see optimism in my other images for today?

.

I have optimism that I’ll find something worth sharing when I search for “optimism” on YouTube.

.

My optimism was rewarded and I found this too!

.

Thanks to all who are here for this optimism post, including YOU!

Day 4783: Letting Go of Perfectionism

Letting go of perfectionism is something I practice every day. It’s something I need to do now, because I only have fifteen minutes to create this blog this morning!

.

.

What do you think about letting go of perfectionism? Is this blog post good enough?

Day 2716: Working it

Since I recovered from COVID-19 in March, I’ve been working non-stop.

Yesterday, a hard-working friend texted me that I should take a vacation and I replied “What is this ‘vacation’ that you speak of?”

As foreign as the concept seems, I will be getting a vacation from work to spend time with my son, who has finished up his school work for the year in Scotland.

Now it’s time to work this post with photos that show different ways of working it.

I had trouble working that dish by Michael into a recent post, so there it is, working it here and now.

There are several versions of the Beatles’ “We Can Work it Out” working it on YouTube, including here and here.

I’m looking forward to seeing our government working it better in future months and I’m looking forward to people working it in a comment, below.

As always, gratitude is working it in this blog.
