Day 4945: Voting

Last night, somebody who never got my vote lied about voting problems in an election he lost.

In November, I hope everyone will be voting their conscience and getting rid of everyone who supports and enables this toxic narcissist.

If you were voting for your favorite image from today’s blog post, what would it be?

.

Here’s what I find when I look for “voting” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to everyone who is here for this voting post, including YOU!

Day 4892: What’s good for us

It would be good if we could always do what’s good for us, such as

  • eating good food,
  • spending time with good people, and
  • voting for those who are good for us.

It’s good for us that Stephen Colbert is still around, even though he was cancelled by CBS.

Good for Stephen and for us.

What’s good for us in my images for today?

.

What’s good for us is to express gratitude every day.

Day 4890: Endings

This last week I watched wonderful endings of two TV shows I loved: The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and American Classic.

.

Here are some quotes about endings.

.

Do you see endings in my other images for today?

.

As I approached the ending of today’s blog post, Joan is celebrating International Turtle Day and World Turtle Day.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for endings on YouTube:

.

I also found this:

.

Endings here at The Year(s) of Living Non-Judgmentally always including gratitude to YOU!

Day 4888: Habits

In 2013, I developed the habit of blogging daily. I think that’s a good habit.

I also have a habit of quickly introducing images, definitions, or quotes in these blog posts.

I guess I have a habit of thinking others might have more interesting things to say. Or maybe I’m lazy.

.

I’ve been trying to break my habits of eating when I’m stressed and people pleasing.

One habit I really resent having to give up is watching Stephen Colbert, who was cancelled for speaking truth to power.

I have a habit of sharing YouTube videos I like.

.

I have a habit of expressing gratitude, so thanks to everyone who’s here, including YOU!

Day 4644: Respect

I respect Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and all those who challenge the current U.S administration.

I respect people who answer questions.

.

I respect my friends on Twitter, including those X’s algorithm keeps flagging as “probable spam.”

Every day, I capture images of those I respect.

.

On Constitution Day and every other day, I respect everyone who stands up to defend the constitution.

I respect this.

.

I have so much gratitude for those I respect, including YOU!

Day 4581: Completely predictable

It’s completely predictable that

  • I publish a blog post everyday,
  • people will be themselves,
  • greed and fear are powerful forces,
  • malignant narcissists will cause chaos and suffering,
  • many vote against their own interests,
  • brave people speak up against injustice,
  • predictions often don’t come true, and
  • there will be images in this post.

.

.

Is it completely predictable that I would share this today?

.

Maybe the cancellation was completely predictable after Monday’s monologue.

.

It’s completely predictable that I would end this post by expressing complete gratitude to Stephen Colbert and to YOU!

Day 4453: Kludge

I sometimes get the word of the day via email and yesterday’s word was “kludge” (pronounced “kloodj”).

.

When I saw the word “kludge,”, I thought of my very unusual heart, in which the parts are assorted strangely and are performing tasks different from what they were designed for. But because I am not ill and am living a long life, I decided that wasn’t the best use of kludge.

How about this? From the kludged United States, I am now going to kludge today’s blog.

.

I’m continuing to kludge this blog post by sharing the first video that pops up for me onYouTube.

.

Thanks to all who are here for this kludge post, including YOU!

Day 4420: Animals

As you may have noticed, I am fascinated by all kinds of animals.

Stephen Colbert has a question about animals he asks guests on his show: What is the most dangerous animal? The answers about dangerous animals rarely match mine — the most dangerous animal is man.

Are you ready for all the animals in my blog today?

.

I wonder what animals will be observing Working Naked Day.

Here’s one of the first things I find when I search for “animals” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all the wonderful animals who help me create this blog, including YOU!

Day 4120: Incredible

Before I launch into this “incredible” post, I shall find an incredible definition for you.

.

Let’s see if there is anything incredible, unbelievable, beyond belief, extraordinary, magnificent, and/or wonderful in today’s blog.

.

It’s incredible how many people are really depressed and anxious these days. I see a lot of these incredible people in my therapy groups and it’s incredible how powerful it is for them to realize that they are not alone.

Here’s what I find when I search for “incredible” on YouTube.

.

That’s an incredible interview of Paul Simon by Stephen Colbert.

Thanks to all the incredible people out there, including YOU!

Day 3718: Fun facts

My fun facts for today include the fact that The Russian Tea Room in NYC has four floors that hold hidden treasures like a giant glass bear that has fish swimming inside it. I know this fun fact because my friends and fellow group therapists Jen and Patty saw that after I left the restaurant early last night because I was tuckered out after a too-full day with too-little sleep.

Here’s another fun fact: the incredibly fun and funny Mel Brooks, who is listed as a “noted guest” in the Wikipedia page about the Russian Tea Room, has a new TV show, “History of the World Part II,”which Nick Kroll talked about on the Stephen Colbert show attended yesterday by Jen, Patty, and me.

Fun fact: Stephen Colbert answers questions from the audience before every show taping, which yesterday included a reveal of the many pencils he throws around as a homage to his admired talk show predecessors David Letterman and Johnny Carson.

You’re bound to discover other fun facts if you click on the links I’ve embedded on this post so far. (Fun fact: when I type “fun facts” it often comes out as “fun cats.”)

Do you see fun facts in the images I captured yesterday?

.

Here’s the first thing I find when I search for “fun facts” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who help me share fun facts in this daily blog, including YOU!
