Day 4845: Dealing with narcissists

People in my Coping and Healing groups often talk about dealing with narcissists.

Unfortunately, because narcissists are world leaders, we are all dealing with narcissists these days.

Yesterday, somebody told me about a technique called “grey rocking” for dealing with narcissists.

.

Can you see dealing with narcissists in my images for today?

.

Looks like the Daily Bitch has been dealing with a narcissist. Join the club.

I wrote my first song because I was dealing with narcissists.

Here’s what I find when I search for “dealing with narcissists” on YouTube.

  1. Narcissists are the worst type of people to have to deal with! I’m glad there aren’t any currently in my life. Xo

I think the closest I have come to being involved with a narcissist was my last SO, who would always say, whenever I told him I was a little tired, “YOU’RE tired!” And then go on to tell me about how grinding his day was. I guess narcissist isn’t the right word for some of the folks I’m thinking about who spend all of our time together complaining about how badly people and life have treated them. These folks rarely get better and they are impossible to cheer up. It’s as if they really resist shedding their negativity. Who are they, they seem to think, if they are not victims?

And I’m not even certain the word describes my two husbands and various boyfriends, who never seemed to take me seriously. They are more in the category of oblivious males, who (whom?) we are still trying to wake up. 🙂

And never have I encountered one that so wholly deserves the name as the First Felon, if it means that they would have absolutely no regard for anyone else. Don’t think I’ve encountered someone like that IRL.

  3. I’ve had one boss who was one, and it was a challenge, hard for me to understand a person like that
