I’m with the person, or maybe people, who said any picture with a pet is a great picture. And I know you’ll see plenty of great pictures at the Prado and other museums.
Whenever someone says to me “I don’t understand art” I always say, yes, you do. Understanding is just a matter of answering the question, do I like this? All art criticism is basically an extended answer.
