Day 4783: Letting Go of Perfectionism

Letting go of perfectionism is something I practice every day. It’s something I need to do now, because I only have fifteen minutes to create this blog this morning!

.

.

What do you think about letting go of perfectionism? Is this blog post good enough?

Day 4426: Providing Hope

Yesterday, before my appointment with my beloved cardiologist Dr. Deeb Salem, who has been providing hope for me for 45 years, I saw this pamphlet in the waiting room:

.

Dr. Salem is also providing hope for many in Massachusetts by helping to create the Physician Pathway Act.

.

Here is a TV news report, featuring Dr. Salem, about how the Physician Pathway Act is providing hope.

.

Let’s see if my other images for today will be providing hope.

.

With all the hope-damaging news these days, we especially need Dr. Salem and all those providing hope, including YOU.

Day 4425: Different perspectives

Usually I appreciate and embrace different perspectives, but these days I am having trouble understanding and tolerating the different perspectives of many people in the USA.

Also, our current leaders are doing their best to squelch different perspectives in a very alarming way.

What different perspectives do you see in my images for today?

.

I consult with several trusted people who have different perspectives on my medical conditions and today I will be enjoying the different perspectives of my long-time cardiologist Dr. Deeb Salem.

Here’s what I find when I search for “different perspectives” on YouTube.

.

I look forward to different perspectives in the comments section, below.

Thanks to all who help me understand different perspectives, including YOU!

Day 4237: Who’s on your team?

“Who’s on your team?” is something I have up on my whiteboard at work. I think that’s an important question because people often feel alone, especially during troubled times.

I am very happy that my team includes family members, friends, and Dr. Deeb Salem, my wonderful cardiologist, who’s been on my team for decades.

.

Do you see team members in my other images for today?

.

On International Cat Day, I’m so grateful that there are several cool cats on my team. And I love that Governor Tim Walz — who is now on the winning (fingers crossed!) blue team — has a cat on his team.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “who’s on your team?” on YouTube:

Thanks to all those who are on my team, including YOU!

Day 4236: Belief

My belief is that it’s time for a blog post with a definition and quotes.

.

What beliefs do you see in the rest of my images for today?

.

Today I meet with my cardiologist, Dr. Deeb Salem, whose beliefs, caring, kindness, and skills have helped keep me alive longer than conventional beliefs about my heart condition. My belief is that I will have a nice picture of Dr. Salem to share in tomorrow’s blog post.

My belief is that it’s okay for me to have my cardiac pacemaker/defibrillator device replaced this October 3, which happens to be Rosh Hashana.

My belief is that time passes quickly, so it’s hard to believe that Joe Biden passed the baton to Kamala Harris only two weeks ago — it feels much longer.

Here’s what I find when I search for “belief” on YouTube:

Thanks to all who helped me create this belief post, including YOU!

Day 4055: The Whispers of the Universe

I’ve been advised to listen to the whispers of the universe.

.

Sometimes the whispers of the universe are drowned out by loud, clamoring noises. Do you detect the whispers of the universe here, now?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for the whispers of the universe.

.

Thanks to all who help me listen to the whispers of the universe, including YOU!

Day 3866: What does BNP stand for?

Blogging Never Prevents me from Being Nicely Productive in other areas of my life. As a matter of fact, Blogging Naturally Provides what this Blogger Needs: a Personal Balance of Native Perception and Being Nominally Pertinent and Being Neatly Present here, every day.

All those BNPs in that Barely Nonsensical Paragraph are By their Nature Pleasanter than the BNP test I got at my cardiology appointment yesterday, which is Briefly Notated in this Paragraph:

The Basic Number Presenting itself in a BNP test for a Basically Normal Person is less than 100; my BNP yesterday was 1308, which I found out after I left my cardiology appointment yesterday.

Because No Person wants a BNP number that high, I immediately contacted my cardiologist, Deeb Salem, asking if I should be alarmed. He did not recommend alarm (he never does), but he suggested that I get an echocardiogram ASAP. I asked him if this high number meant that I was in heart failure or that my ventricle was going downhill (always a concern for people with my very unusual heart) and he responded: “the echo should tell us.”

Because Nervous People might assume that a BNP number that high might Be a Nasty Prognosis, I should tell you that the BNP for a Basically Normal Person with my heart condition can be high. However, because I’ve never had a BNP higher than 600, even when I was in heart failure in 2016, you can understand why I might Be Nervous, People.

Balanced News Provides some relief, however: there is nothing alarming or abnormal about my appearance, so I choose to Be Naturally Positive about the future. Apparently, for me, an echocardiogram outweighs a BNP test in the ‘Bility to Nicely Portend the future.

But ‘Nough Predictions. Bring on the Nice Pictures!

.

BNP also stands for Bitches Need Pizza.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “what does BNP stand for.”

Better Numbers. Phew!

What are your thoughts and feeling about this Barely Notable Post about BNP?

Thanks to all the Beautifully Natural People who read this daily blog, including YOU.

Day 3792: Dedicated

Yesterday, I was one of the speakers when a building was dedicated to and named for my dedicated cardiologist, Dr. Deeb Salem.

My dedicated readers know what a great doctor Deeb Salem is, because I’ve dedicated space in many blog posts to him (including this, this, and this).

Dedicated as I am to clear communication, I regret that the picture and sound in this video of my speech are fuzzy.

I hope you can tell how dedicated Dr. Deeb Salem and I are to each other. Many people dedicated to him told me they were also crying during my speech, which “perfectly captured Deeb.”

As usual, I’m dedicated to sharing more images from my daily life with you.

I guess I’ll be celebrating Do Dah Day, because I’m also dedicated to silliness.

Dedicated thanks to all who helped me write this dedicated post, including Dr. Salem and YOU!

Day 3791: Speeches

Today, I’ll be one of several people making speeches about my wonderful cardiologist, Dr. Deeb Salem, who is having a building named after him.

I haven’t made too many speeches in my life, but I have a lot to say about Dr. Salem, who has been my cardiologist for over forty years. It’s been difficult for me to keep to the five-minute time limit for all the speeches today. If I just read all the blog posts I’ve written here about Dr. Salem (including this, this, and this) that might take up the time of the whole ceremony!

I get nervous about making speeches but I’ll try not to let that show. Also, I’ll probably be rewriting that speech until the moment I have to give it.

Because the speeches aren’t being formally recorded, I’ll try to get somebody to capture my speech today so I can share it with you tomorrow.

Let’s see if there is any material for speeches in the rest of today’s post.

If I were giving the Daily Bitch’s short speech today, I would probably change “Sometimes I wish I was a dog” to “Sometimes I wish I were a dog,” but I’m not going to give a speech about using the subjunctive.

Here’s what I find when I search for “speeches” on YouTube:

.

In speeches and blog posts, I like to end with gratitude, so thanks to all who help me live my best life, including Dr. Salem and YOU.

Day 3786: I have no idea

I have no idea how I’m going to convey, in a speech I’m giving on Friday, how special and important my cardiologist Dr. Deeb Salem is. Actually, I probably don’t have to convince my audience about how special and important he is, because they’re naming a building at Tufts Medical Center after him and that’s why he asked me to give the speech.

Whenever anybody (including myself) uses the phrase “I have no idea” I think about a psychologist at my first student internship who always responded with this: “You must have some idea.” And, indeed I do have some idea about how to talk about how great Dr. Salem is. My problem is I have too many ideas, because he’s been my cardiologist for over 40 years, helping me live my best life while reaching the ripe old age of 70.

I was about to say I have no idea how to use all the images I have for you today into a cohesive enough blog post, but I must have some idea.

I have no idea what Mother’s Day is going to be like this year. Wait, I must have some idea. I’m sure to hear from my son, Aaron, who coincidentally has the same birthday as Dr. Salem. I have some idea that if it weren’t for Dr. Salem, neither Aaron nor I would be here today.

I have no idea what the best Stevie Wonder song is, but I have some idea about which one I’ve listened to the most. It’s either this one…

… or this one:

I have no idea how to adequately express gratitude to all who help me meet every new day as best I can.

As usual, I had some idea.
