Day 4967: Literally

Did I use the word “literally” correctly in this Facebook post?

.

I literally just asked AI about the correct use of the word “literally.”

.

I’ve been watching the TV show “Portobello” which has me glued to my seat, is literally based on a true story, and inspired my question last night on social media.

It’s literally International Cat Day and I literally can’t think of a better segue for the rest of today’s images.

.

Here’s what I literally found when I searched for “literally” on YouTube.

.

I literally still don’t know if I’m using “literally” correctly and I literally can’t thank you enough for being here, now.

Day 4603: Personal medicine

I often give people the good advice of practicing personal medicine. For me, personal medicine includes people I love, group therapy, cats, nature, music, long walks, good food, and blogging.

Do you see personal medicine in my images for today?

.

The Daily Bitch might need more personal medicine.

Here’s some new personal medicine for me, thanks to my Twitter friend Thomas Muir.

.

Thanks to all who are my personal medicine, including YOU!

Day 4238: Weird

You may know that Governor Tim Walz went viral calling the Republican presidential ticket “weird.” It’s weird to me that

  • So many people support weird Trump and weird Vance.
  • The media lets these weird candidates spread weird fear-mongering lies without doing any fact checking.
  • The weird Republicans are attacking Tim Welz on his military record and Kamala Harris on … her name and her laugh?
  • I just had a weird dream about encountering many weird Trump supporters.
  • This weird dream included a huge building that had a giant weird replica of weird Trump on its front.
  • After deciding that I was going to title this blog post “Weird,” I discovered that this is the Daily Bitch Calendar for today:

.

America, don’t make it weird for another four years. I don’t know if my weird heart can take it.

Do you see anything weird in my other images for today?

I think it’s weird that today, of all days, is Veep Day AND National Kool Aid Day, since so many people in my country have drunk the Kool Aid about such obviously weird candidates.

Here’s what I find when I search for “weird” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to all who help me create my weird posts, including YOU!

Day 4237: Who’s on your team?

“Who’s on your team?” is something I have up on my whiteboard at work. I think that’s an important question because people often feel alone, especially during troubled times.

I am very happy that my team includes family members, friends, and Dr. Deeb Salem, my wonderful cardiologist, who’s been on my team for decades.

.

Do you see team members in my other images for today?

.

On International Cat Day, I’m so grateful that there are several cool cats on my team. And I love that Governor Tim Walz — who is now on the winning (fingers crossed!) blue team — has a cat on his team.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “who’s on your team?” on YouTube:

.

Who’s on your team?

Thanks to all those who are on my team, including YOU!

Day 3872: What makes a great picture?

Because of this blog, I take a lot of pictures, some great and some not so great. According to several people, there were great pictures in yesterday’s post, including this one:

.

Because I’ve never taken any photography courses, I’m not sure what makes a great picture, but I am proud of that shot.

What makes a great picture and are there any great pictures here today?

.

Yesterday, I decided what makes a great picture when I chose one for my 50th Reunion Class Report photo. Here were my choices:

What makes a great picture is everybody’s smiles, so I chose this one:

.

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “what makes a great picture?”

.

What makes a great picture for the ending of this blog post? Gratitude for YOU.

Day 3871: Whatever gets you from A to B

When we discuss the wide range of human coping strategies (from meditation to mountain climbing), my husband Michael often says, “Whatever gets you from A to B.”

That gets me to this: “Why only B? How about getting from A to Z?”

Whatever. That gets me to this definition from the Free Dictionary:

.

Yesterday I got from A (our home on the South Shore of Boston) to B (Boston and the hospital where I work in person on Mondays), and then from B to A.

.

Cats often get me from A to B to C, so happy International Cat Day!

.

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “whatever gets you from A to B.”

.

Thanks to all who get me from A to B to C, etc., including my husband, our cats, the MBTA Ferry, my co-workers and patients, the Daily Bitch, John Lennon, and YOU!
