Today is my concert/fundraiser for ActBlue, which supports the Kamala Harris/Tim Walz ticket as well as Democrats nationwide.
Yesterday, I practiced my new song “Artificial Intelligence” as well as the rest of my set list, including “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready,” “It’s Hard to Get Shit Done When You’re Scared Shitless,” “Triggers,” “Don’t Kill Yourself,” “Shameless Appeals for Applause,” and “I’d Like to Win the Grammy for Best New Artist.”
My singing teacher, who plans to be there at showtime today, thinks that once I get good recordings of my material out there, I’ll go viral, but time will tell.
For now, I’m just glad that it’s showtime!
It’s time for me to show the images I captured yesterday.

.
The Daily Bitch is reminding me that I forgot to eat anything when it was showtime for me at the Lilypad two months ago, so I’ll be sure to Eat Outside before my show today.
Here’s what I find when I search for “it’s showtime!” on YouTube.

It’s showtime! Thanks to everybody who is here for me, now, including YOU!

I think you are quite unique, Ann.
Thanks for showing up, my friend.
I am so excited for you and your audience, Ann. This is a very special concert. And after being gifted with a private home preview while you were here, I think you bring a great deal of yourself to the performance, in addition to your music and lyrics, possibly because you are a therapist, and that is something best experienced in person.
Is there a way for me to donate without a ticket?
I love the way you show up, Maureen. You can donate online to ActBlue with this link:

You could be onstage as I type, so I know you are being fabulous. And serendipity has been busy today. I like to do the NYT Timeline quiz (missed one, always do it seems), and one of the times listed was the invention of the Slinkie. Which was 1943. Which was the year I was born. Think of me joining in the applause at the conclusion of whatever song you are singing now. You should encore with “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole.” Be nice to send them out into the streets humming that one. 🙂
I usually encore with “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole” but for this concert I did a special version of “Triggers,” which ended like this:
Everybody has a trigger,
Me and you and you and you.
Lest our triggers get much bigger, let’s all turn out and vote blue.

I always appreciate the ways you show up, Chris.
Bless you for supporting the Harris-Walz ticket through Act Blue. I do my little part as often as I can. Lordy, we sure need to be sure they win!!
I’m with you, Jan!!
