Day 4970: Relax

It’s difficult to relax in this nerve-wracking world.

I relax by spending time with kind people in real life, movies, and books. I also relax by looking at nature and cats and by practicing mindfulness.

When wake up in the middle of the night, I relax and go back to sleep by listening to a video like this:

I’m going to share that video with one of my self-critical patients; I hope it helps them relax.

Try to relax as you look at my images for today.

.

It’s difficult to relax on Presidential Joke Day when we have such a joke of a President.

.

Now that I’ve finished this daily blog, I can relax and express my thanks to YOU.

Day 4606: Moods

Part of my job as a therapist is awareness of people’s moods.

In every session, I’ll ask people about their moods and document whatever they say. Typical moods are “sad,” “lonely,” “frustrated,” “anxious,” “angry,” “depressed,” “worried,” “excited,” “panicky,” “okay,” and “I don’t know.” Sometimes people tell me their mood is better at the end of the session than at the beginning, which improves MY mood.

What moods do you see in my images for today?

.

Here’s a song that I wrote when I was in a mood.

.

What is your current mood about this moods post?

I have many moods and one of them is gratitude for YOU.

Day 4240: Working together

I love the way the Democrats are working together to elect Kamala Harris President of the United States.

In the meantime, I’m working together with some very talented people to create an album/videos of my original songs. Here are Riccardo Pearlman and Nat Shirley (who co-wrote “Nobody’s Perfect” with me) working together at my place yesterday:

.

Do you see others working together in the rest of my images for today?

.

On Presidential Joke Day, I hope we are all working together to make sure that we don’t elect another Presidential Joke.

Here are Nat Shirley and I working together on “Nobody’s Perfect” five years ago at an Open Mic:

.

Soon, because Riccardo Pearlman and I are working together, there will be better recordings/videos of my songs to share.

Thanks to all who are working together, here and now, including YOU!
