Day 4743: Memories

Sometimes I think about how many memories I’m preserving in this here 13-year daily blog. There are many memories of my grown son Aaron, who will be staying with us this week. And lots of memories of other wonderful people, food, and cats.

Let’s see what memories are in today’s blog.

.

It’s not on the list but today is my second husband Michael’s and my wedding anniversary and I have many memories of that day.

.

Here’s another memory I’d like share:

.

I told my son Aaron about that introduction and three months later, when I again invited somebody from the audience to introduce me, he recited the exact same introduction of me from memory.

Thanks to all the memorable people who are here for my memories, including YOU!

Day 3914: Memory

People in my therapy groups often talk about memory — painful ones, early ones, comforting ones, and the fear of losing their memory.

If my memory serves me well, there are some great quotes about memory.

.

My memory is that one year ago today I was worrying about my INR, but I still like that quote from Mr. Cossman. Do you see memory in my other images for today?

.

It seems like vegetables are just a memory for the Daily Bitch on National Pepperoni Pizza Day.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “memory.”

.

It’s going to be difficult to get that musical phrase from “Memory” out of my memory today.

How’s your memory of the quote I shared above about memory and gratitude? And thanks to all who help me create good memories, including YOU!

Day 3119: What is your earliest memory?

Last night, I asked the question “What is your earliest memory?” in my Coping and Healing group. People said they found that very helpful. So, after the group, I asked the same question on Twitter.

My earliest memory is from before I was walking. I was outdoors and my sister was lying on the ground next to me. I remember wondering: “Why is she doing that? She can walk!” That memory stayed with me because my parents were posing us for a photo, and I kept seeing the photo of the two of us in the family album.

Even back then, I was asking questions.

Here are some of my not-so-early memories, captured in photos:

The Daily Bitch is very memorable.

One of my earliest memories of music is of my father listening — on a very old radio — to “Witchcraft” sung by Frank Sinatra.

Now I’m asking you: What is your earliest memory?

Thanks to all who have memories and to those who ask questions and answer them, including YOU!
