Day 4987: Fictional Characters

When I was a young girl dealing with heart problems and multiple hospitalizations, I took great solace in fictional characters. I learned about resilience, resourcefulness, adaptability, integrity, grit, kindness, and humor from my parents but also from fictional characters.

Yesterday I had two conversations with the fictional character ChatGPT about fictional characters.

One conversation was about losing my perfectionism about my upcoming trip to Switzerland. I told ChatGPT that it helped me to think I would survive even if I showed up in a foreign land like Marcus Brody did in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Here’s what ChatGPT said about that:

.

The second conversation was about which fictional characters I resembled. I told ChatGPT I hoped I was like Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice but wondered what other ones it might suggest.

.

What fictional characters do you relate to in my other images for today?

.

I really relate to the fictional character of The Daily Bitch.

Thanks to all the wonderful nonfictional characters who are here for this blog about fictional characters, including YOU!

Day 4962: How to take pictures

Over the years, I’ve gotten praise for the pictures I’ve taken for this blog, so I think it’s time for a blog post about how to take pictures.

For me, how to take pictures is simple and straightforward: I see something interesting, frame it with my phone, and press the button.

Let’s see if any of my pictures today demonstrate how to take pictures.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “how to take a picture” on YouTube.

.

Here’s how to take a picture of my gratitude for you.

Day 4670: Beyond time

Yesterday, in my Coping and Healing Group, we tried to go beyond time in a mindfulness exercise. I suggested that people go beyond their usual focus on time (what time is it? how much time has passed? how much time do I have?) and stay in the moment.

One of the group members had their volume turned down and did not hear the chime to end the mindfulness, so they thought the exercise had gone way beyond time. Other people spoke about how difficult it was to go beyond time in one’s mind.

I may have gone beyond time in this introduction, so here are my images for today.

.

The Daily Bitch is beyond time.

Here’s what I find when I look for “beyond time” on YouTube;

.

And here’s my song about going beyond time — “Stay in the Moment.”

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time for this beyond-time post, including YOU!

Day 4623: Dreams

We all have dreams, don’t we? Let’s see what dreams we can find in my images for today.

One of my dreams was to release an album of my original songs and that dream came true a week ago today!

Here’s the full concert where we recorded my live album.

.

That was a dream come true, too!

Thanks to all who are here for this dreams post, including YOU!
