Day 4672: New words

I love new words, so I enjoyed asking this question last night on Learn a New Word Day.

.

Whenever somebody asks a question like Milton’s, my new words are “Everything counts.”

Because we live in a Kakistocracy where politicians are pettifogging and breaking laws about emoluments, I’ll be protesting tomorrow at a No Kings demonstration in Boston. I’ll be making new words out of this sign:

.

Can you guess what words will be on my sign tomorrow?

When I do the New York Time’s Spelling Bee puzzle …

… I often discover new words. For some reason, today’s pangram (a word that uses all the letters) was very easy for me to see.

Do we need any new words to describe my other images for today?

.

The words of my protest song will be new to tomorrow’s demonstrators and I hope I get a chance to sing it.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “new words” on YouTube:

.

Thanks to John Koenig, I can use the new word zielschmerz, which I’ve been experiencing.

.

I’m looking forward to new words in the comments section, below.

Thanks to all who are here for these new words, including YOU!

Day 3622: Focus

I woke up wondering what the focus of today’s blog post might be and then I thought, why not focus on focus?

These days, I have many centers of interest and activity (including group therapy for patients and providers, parenting, friendships, home repair, self-care, social media, writing, the news, word games, my original songs, travel, and cats), which makes it difficult to focus.

Now, I’m going to focus on quotes about focus.

That’s my cue to focus on my images for today.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “focus”:

Now I’m going to turn the focus to you: what are your thought and feelings about focus?

Many people recommend that we focus on gratitude, so thanks to all who help me focus every day, including YOU!

Day 3510: PLEASE NO LECTURES

PLEASE NO LECTURES about how there should be a comma between “PLEASE” and “NO” in today’s title and on the button I made for a client and for myself.

PLEASE NO LECTURES about all capital letters, also.

PLEASE NO LECTURES about my hesitancy to respond to what I experience as lectures on Twitter with a photo of my PLEASE NO LECTURES button. PLEASE NO LECTURES about my similar hesitancy to call out mansplaining.

PLEASE NO LECTURES. My harsh inner critic gives me way too many lectures already. I’m not going to give a lecture about the harsh inner critic because I suspect you probably know about it.

PLEASE NO LECTURES about my images for today.

.

PLEASE NO LECTURES about the National Days or about this Presidential joke:

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “PLEASE NO LECTURES.”

Thanks to all who helped me create this PLEASE NO LECTURES post, including you!
