Day 3124: What’s a small action you can take to make a difference?

Yesterday, I took the small action of tweeting this question on Twitter.

All of the answers I received made a difference to me.

Do you see any small actions that make a difference in my other images for today?

Cooper Raiff, the 20-something, first time director of the small action but amazing movie “Shithouse” has definitely made a difference.

What’s a small action you can take to make a difference?

Expressing gratitude is a small action I take every day, so thanks to Cooper Raiff, other creative people (including my Twitter friend ARTY who drew that cool portrait of me), all who answer my questions, and everyone who makes a difference, including YOU!

Day 3123: What do you collect?

Yesterday, when I was collecting new experiences and memories, I posted this on Twitter:

.

As people were collecting their thoughts about that question, that tweet began collecting lots of interesting answers.

.

As you probably know, I also collect photos and other images along my life’s journey. Here are some more I’ve been collecting lately.

.

I also have a small collection of pins.

.

When I search YouTube for “what do you collect”, I find this …

… and this:

What do you collect? I look forward to reading your collection of comments, below.

As noted above, I also collect expressions of gratitude, so thanks to all who have helped me collect thousands of posts in this daily blog, including YOU!

Day 3122: What gets in the way of you celebrating every new day?

What gets in the way of you celebrating every new day?

Is it not knowing what to celebrate?

.

Is it anxiety?

.

Is it grief?

.

Is it a battle between your heart and your brain? Or bad decisions from the past?

.

Is it creepy people with too much power?

.

Is it people telling you what to do?

.

Is it too much responsibility?

.

Is it weird animals?

.

Is it dreary weather?

.

Is it painful experiences?

.

Is it sleep problems?

.

Is it parts of yourself you have trouble accepting?

.

Is it barriers in your way that you can’t control?

.

No matter what might get in the way, I hope my other images help you celebrate the new day.

.

This is what I find on YouTube when I search for “celebrate the new day.”

Consider celebrating the new day by leaving a comment, below.

Thanks to all who help me celebrate every new day, including YOU.

Day 3121: Appearances

It appears that most people have many thoughts and feelings about appearances.

Here are some quotes about appearances currently appearing on-line:

.

What kinds of appearances do you notice in my images for today?

.

It appears that many of us are trying to figure out the importance of appearances.

Also, I have no idea what the appearance of this General Mills slogan (appearing at our local supermarket) means.

.

Here is what appears on YouTube when I search for “appearances”:

I look forward to the appearances of your comments about this post, below.

Appearances may be deceiving, but please believe all appearances of my sincere gratitude for those who help me blog every day, including YOU.

Day 3120: What day is it?

Many people tell me they have trouble keeping track of what day it is, especially since March 2020.

I hope this helps:

Today is also the first anniversary of American Statesman and Civil Rights Activist John Lewis’s death. And it’s the birthday of Angela Merkle, Phoebe Snow, Peter Schickele, etc.

July 17, 2021 is also just another day when I share new images with you.

How are you going to celebrate July 17, 2021?

I’m going to share this song that always cheers me up, no matter what day it is.

Thanks to all who are sharing this day with me, including YOU.

Day 3119: What is your earliest memory?

Last night, I asked the question “What is your earliest memory?” in my Coping and Healing group. People said they found that very helpful. So, after the group, I asked the same question on Twitter.

My earliest memory is from before I was walking. I was outdoors and my sister was lying on the ground next to me. I remember wondering: “Why is she doing that? She can walk!” That memory stayed with me because my parents were posing us for a photo, and I kept seeing the photo of the two of us in the family album.

Even back then, I was asking questions.

Here are some of my not-so-early memories, captured in photos:

The Daily Bitch is very memorable.

One of my earliest memories of music is of my father listening — on a very old radio — to “Witchcraft” sung by Frank Sinatra.

Now I’m asking you: What is your earliest memory?

Thanks to all who have memories and to those who ask questions and answer them, including YOU!

Day 3118: How are you going to celebrate this precious day?

As I tell people in therapy, it helps to celebrate whatever you can, especially these days.

How are you going to celebrate this precious day?

As usual, I’m going to start celebrating this day by blogging and sharing images with you.

I’m also going to celebrate this day by putting my phone down after I finish this blog post.

Here is Kool & the Gang celebrating a precious day in 2011:

As always, I celebrate each day by expressing gratitude to YOU.

Day 3117: It’s never what you expect

I expect that I’ve written a previous blog post with this title, because I often say “it’s never what you expect.”

You probably expect some images here, but maybe not these.

That last question received some answers you might expect and also some others you would never expect.

When I search YouTube for “it’s never what you expect”, I unexpectedly find “It’s Never What You Expect and Everything All At Once” by Noé.

I would have expected there to be at least one reaction to that on YouTube. Yes, it’s never what you expect.

You might expect gratitude at the end of this post, but maybe not this: thanks to all who appreciate this blog more than I expect, including YOU.

Day 3116: If you could ask any question of thousands of people, what question would you ask?

If you have trouble answering the question in today’s title, here are some examples of questions you might ask thousands of people:

Right and wrong answers are welcomed for any of the questions in today’s blog.

One more question: what is the Daily Bitch trying to tell us today?

Here’s my answer to the question about the best television theme song ever:

Thanks to all who ask and answer questions, including YOU.

Day 3115: Microadventures

Yesterday, between microadventures, I read about microadventures in the New York Times:

…

.

I’ve been on microadventures since I was a microperson, and I believe this blog is a document of the awe I feel every day, home and away.

Yesterday’s microadventures included going to a local casino for the first time and shopping at Whole Foods with my son and my husband. Even if these photos don’t fill you with a sense of awe, I hope this post is a salve for you today.

I very much enjoyed my microwinnings during yesterday’s microadventures.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “microadventures.”

What microadventures have you been on?

I am very grateful for all the microadventures I’ve been on with others, including YOU!
