Day 4645: Too Much

In my therapy groups this week, people shared that there was too much going on in the news and in their lives. Because there was too much to talk about, it almost took too much effort on my part to make sure that each group ended on time.

Yesterday I had too much to do, including individual therapy, group therapy, supervision, sharing my music, connecting with friends, preparing for future protests, and going to my yearly visit with one of my cardiologists.

I hope there’s not too much in today’s post.

.

Who thinks there is too much on that list of World Observances?

Here’s a song I wrote about having too much to do when there is too much going on:

.

I had to do too much to successfully share that video here, but I don’t want to say too much about that.

Is it too much for me to ask for comments, below?

Thanks to all who help me deal with too much, including YOU!

Day 4642: What does it mean?

What does it mean that this is the title of today’s post?

What does it mean that I posted this on Twitter yesterday?

.

What does it mean that I still say “Twitter” instead of “X”?

What does it mean that the news has got me worried?

What does it mean that we keep trying to make meaning out of what mean people are doing?

What does it mean that I’ve been starting my day by asking ChatGPT questions about what it all means?

What does it mean that I am including these images in today’s post?

What does it mean that today is Times Up Day?

.

What does it mean that there is a person who does not want to make amends with me?

What does it mean that this is how my music is trending?

.

What does it mean that this is what I find when I search for “what does it mean?”

.

What does it mean that I always end my posts with gratitude for you?

Day 4641: Clueless

Yesterday, I returned to work after two weeks off and felt pretty clueless reengaging with imperfect technology and people.

I’m probably not alone feeling clueless these days. Honestly, who does have a clue?

Here and now, I’m clueless about figuring out a better way to introduce my images for today.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “clueless” on YouTube.

.

I do have a clue that “Clueless” was based on Emma by that clueful author, Jane Austen.

Day 4639: Positive thoughts

These days, positive thoughts may be difficult to find, so I asked a question about them last night.

.

My husband is pretty damn cute, also, and I had many positive thoughts spending time with him and also working on my song “Artificial Intelligence.”

.

I have positive thoughts about the vocal track and the ukulele track I’ve created using GarageBand on my laptop. I hope people have positive thoughts about “Artificial Intelligence” when I release it as a single.

I have positive thoughts about going back to work tomorrow, which shows how I positively love being a group therapist.

Do you see positive thoughts in my other images for today?

I have positive thoughts about old episodes of Project Runway
We’re thinking positive thoughts about growing red peppers
So many positive thoughts about my favorite restaurant — Brassica Kitchen!

.

I have positive thoughts about several of today’s holidays and observances.

Here’s a song I wrote about focusing on positive thoughts.

.

Feel free to share any positive thoughts in the comments section, below.

Thanks to all who inspire positive thoughts about this world of ours, including YOU!

Day 4637: Times of Trouble

During times of trouble, I turn to those I love.

Yesterday, I spent the day with my camera-shy husband, as we took the ferry to Boston’s Seaport district, which was no trouble at all.

.

We’ve been having trouble with our new sofa from Blue Dot furniture …

… which we showed to Greer.

.

Greer said that Blue Dot would take the trouble to replace the entire sofa, which surprised me. In times of trouble, I appreciate connecting with good people, so Greer and I exchanged cards.

.

I’m overcoming my shyness about troubling others and promoting my songs, which I hope are helpful during times of trouble.

I often deal with times of trouble by capturing and sharing images.

Dogs are usually helpful during times of trouble.

Here’s the song that many of us hear when thinking about times of trouble.

.

Thanks to all who help me through times of trouble, including YOU.

Day 4624: Favorite restaurants

Now that I’m on vacation and down to my fighting weight (whatever that means), I’m thinking about favorite restaurants.

My goal is to enjoy great food in favorite restaurants near Boston and also in Charleston, South Carolina when I’m there for a group therapy training next week.

Last night, I asked a question about favorite restaurants on Twitter.

.

I think people like sharing about their favorite restaurants.

Here are some favorite restaurants in Charleston, South Carolina

.

Yesterday evening, my husband and o ate at one of our favorite restaurants and then went on our traditional walk looking for rabbits.

.

Tonight, we are going to another favorite restaurant which might actually have toasted marshmallow and bacon on the menu. I’m going to tell them that they can stream my new album there if they want.

Here’s what I find when I search for “favorite restaurants” on YouTube.

.

What’s your favorite restaurant?

Day 4623: Dreams

We all have dreams, don’t we? Let’s see what dreams we can find in my images for today.

My link hub https://linktr.ee/singingtherapist

.

One of my dreams was to release an album of my original songs and that dream came true a week ago today!

Here’s the full concert where we recorded my live album.

.

That was a dream come true, too!

Day 4619: Strange

These are strange times, my dear readers, and my fear is that we are getting too complacent with strange.

It’s going to be strange to facilitate groups without my patient who recently died.

The week before I leave on vacation always feels strange to me.

Last Monday, the ferry into Boston was cancelled at the last minute because of choppy waters, which was very strange.

It’s strange that my music is now on Spotify and that Spotify somehow puts together lists of songs that are as strange as mine.

Do you see anything strange in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “strange.”

.

Day 4613: Bothering others

I have a fear of bothering others, even when others tell me they are not bothered by me.

For example, I have been hesitant to push my album release this Friday on social media and in emails for fear of bothering others.

Today, I’m telling myself this:

“I’m not bothering people — I’m inviting them. Every time I share about my album, I’m just opening a door. Whether they walk through is up to them.”

Here’s an email I’m going to bother — I mean invite — people with today.

I hope I’m not bothering others by sharing my images for today.

.

That seems like a good Daily Bitch about bothering others.

I didn’t mind bothering others in the audience to introduce me at my live concert at the Lilypad on June 1, 2025, as you can see in this video:

.

Am I bothering others by asking for comments, below?

Day 4602: Good advice

Ready for some good advice?

.

Here’s some musical advice from me.

.

I’m getting good advice about how to make sure that my live album shows up on Spotify and Apple Music on August 22. Also, I need good advice about which song to submit to Spotify’s recommended playlist. Do you think I should submit a trimmed version of “It’s Hard to Get Shit Done When You’re Scared Shitless”? Or should I submit “Don’t Kill Yourself” …

… “I Don’t Like You” …

…”I’d Like to Win the Grammy for Best New Artist” …

…“I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” …

… “What Are Other People Thinking About You?”…

… or “Everybody’s Somebody’s Asshole”?

.

My friend Jeanette, who gives good advice, suggested I choose a song that well represents my typical style and reflects my “brand” as The Singing Therapist. Her advice was to submit “Triggers.”

.

I also want to choose a good song with a strong audio-only performance and a catchy title, so I’m looking for good advice about that.

Thanks to all who are here for this “good advice” post, including YOU!
