Day 4918: Identity

Yesterday, in my Coping and Healing group, people were talking about their senses of identity.

Because my senses of identity include group facilitator and blogger, I just looked up the meaning of “identity.”

.

Can you identify different types of identity in my images for today?

That duck has the identity of mother!
My husband Michael has a new identity as a vegetable gardener!

.

I’m now embracing the new identity of rascal/scamp, because I knew today was New Identity Day when I started this post.

Here’s what I find when I search for “identity” on YouTube:

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about identity?

Thanks to all who are here for this identity post, including YOU!

Day 4177: Peace of mind

Who’s looking for peace of mind? I am and I’m guessing I’m not alone.

I hope you find some peace of mind here.

.

If I were going to write to my late father on this Write to Your Father Day, I’d write, “Dear, Dad. I did a show of my original songs and I got a standing ovation! I think you would have been proud.” This is giving me peace of mind, here and now.

What’s also giving me peace of mind is that I can blog more easily on my new laptop. That means it will take less time for me to give you a piece of my mind every day.

Here‘s what I hear in my mind when I think about “peace of mind.”

.

Thanks to all those who contribute to my peace of mind, including YOU!

Day 3149: Respites

In order to maintain our energy, we all need respites from fear, worry, injustice, uncertainty, and doubt.

We need respites from anxiety about the future and regrets about the past.

We need respites from harsh criticism from others and from ourselves, from perfectionism and hyper-vigilance.

We need respites from the harsh realities we see around us.

While we may believe that we always need to be on alert during dangerous times, we need respites to move forward effectively.

Do you see respites in my images for today?

Here’s what I find when I search YouTube for “respites”:

I look forward to the respites of your comments about this “respites” post.

Gratitude is always a source of respites, so thanks to all who help me find respite in blogging, including YOU!
