I don’t know if this is a coincidence, but after I wrote a blog post yesterday about not freaking out, I had a night’s sleep filled with anxiety dreams, including
Being warned not to go to a car inspection place because there might kidnappers there,
Going to the car inspection place anyway,
Getting kidnapped,
Escaping,
Being shot at,
Going to a conference without the schedule of times and locations,
Not being able to find any schedules telling me where to go,
Being left behind when everybody went where they needed to go for the first session of the conference,
Going to my office trying to find my schedule on my laptop,
Not being able to find it,
Wandering about asking people for help,
Nobody helping,
Losing my laptop,
Losing my confidence, and
Trying more and more unsuccessful solutions to the problem, until I woke up.
I can’t remember having such a long series of anxiety dreams, ever. For some reason, though, now that I’m awake and writing about it, it’s not freaking me out.
Do you see possible subjects for anxiety dreams in my images for today?
Hmmmmmm. All my images are failing to upload right now, which is like an anxiety dream for me.
Here and now, I’m going to take a short break, even though it’s late, let go of my anxiety dreams, and see if the connection problem resolves itself. If it does, it does, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. Either way, I’ll publish a blog post today.
I really appreciate that my waking life is becoming less and less like my anxiety dreams.
.
When I was 10 years old, I had a terrible anxiety dream while under anesthesia and I definitely could have anxiety dreams on World Backup Day about not backing up my data, but I won’t.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “anxiety dreams.”
.
Happy Easter to those who celebrate and thanks to all who help me deal with anxiety dreams, including YOU!
NOTE: It was like an anxiety dream when WordPress published many versions of this post, which originally had the wrong number in the title. I deleted most of the copies, but not this one because it has a comment by somebody who helps my life be less of an anxiety dream!

Yesterday, I saw this card about a circle of caring:
I believe that a circle of caring surrounds me here and elsewhere, as I circle around my life. And as a group therapist, I strongly believe in the healing power of circles of caring.
Because today is a Monday holiday in my home state of Massachusetts, I get to experience another circle of self care before I work again tomorrow.
Do you see circles of caring in my other images for today?
The National Day Calendar doesn’t list Patriots’ Day, probably because there’s such a small circle of U.S. states caring about that.
Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “a circle of caring.”
I look forward to a circle of caring in the comments section, below.
A circle of caring and gratitude to all who are in my circle of caring, including YOU!
My preferences for creating this daily blog include capturing images the day before and then deciding on the theme and title soon after I wake up.
Another preference is to share experiences that might help others. Last week in therapy, I expressed my preferences for helpful labels over minimizing and critical ones like “loser,” “superficial,” “screwed up”, and “hopeless.” My preference is to give homework assignments, so I gave this one: every time you catch yourself applying a negative label to yourself, change that label to “human.”
Somebody over the weekend, who wanted to assign me a complimentary label, tried “captivating” first and then settled on “engaging.” I told them my preference was “captivating.”
Can you see preferences in these engaging and maybe even captivating images from yesterday? (And for those of you whose preferences run to photos over Twitter captures, keep scrolling.)
WTF? Five years ago, I unquestionably wrote another WTF post.
Today, the “F” in “WTF?” has another meaning.
WTF? What’s the flavor of each of my other photos from yesterday?
WTF? Personally, I have an intense craving for the flavors of nature. Why The F aren’t we all out there enjoying those Wonderful Terrific Flavors on this precious day? WTF? Who The F knows how many days we have left?
What’s The Favorite comment on that video? WTF? It’s not this one:
There are no lyrics. But I didn’t need em. The song connected with me on a metaphysical level.
WTF? Why The F is it so difficult for me to write a Letter from the President for my professional organization’s semiannual newsletter when I can write a blog post here every day? WTF? And Why The F is it so difficult to remember the difference between semiannual and biannual?
WTF are you going to comment on, below?
Where’s Thanks From me for all WTF’s in this post?
Perhaps some of you are jumping to the conclusion that I’m writing about jumping to conclusions today because of something that jumped out at me yesterday.
I wonder if there are any conclusions or jumping in my other photos from yesterday.
With all those bunnies jumping out at us, we might jump to the conclusion that Easter is approaching.
I jumped to the conclusion that cats would be in that box and in that card holder, but they weren’t. However, cats were nearby.
This is always on my mind about jumping to conclusions: sometimes we’re right and sometimes we’re not. Let’s not jump to the conclusion that our conclusions are always right and other people’s conclusions are always wrong.
If jumping to conclusions really burned calories, I wouldn’t be gaining weight from eating delicious food.
If you jumped to the conclusion that Michael made salmon last night, your conclusion would be correct.
Has anybody jumped to the conclusion about what music we’ll be jumping to now?
In conclusion, thanks to all who helped me create today’s post and to you — of course! — for jumping to my blog today.
Yesterday, Bernadette at Tufts Medical Center was around me.
We talked about what was around us at work and with our families. When I asked her if she wanted to appear in my blog (where I document what’s around me), she said, “Sure!”
I showed her the other photos I had just taken around her.
She said, “Those are great! Where did you find them?” When I told her they were around her, she was all shook up. “Really? I’ve never noticed them!” We talked about how often we don’t notice what’s around us. We both resolved to not worry, be happy, and notice what’s around us.
Here’s what was around me for the rest of the day:
Every day, I look for pick-me-ups that I can pick up and share in this blog. Here’s one I picked up yesterday:
I’ve picked up from picky people that everyday pick-me-ups are particularly helpful on Mondays. Therefore, I’m picking these pick-me-ups for you, today.
When you become part of the universe and the universe becomes part of you, is that a pick-me-up? If not, what are your everyday pick-me-ups?
My sister, who is always one of my pick-me-ups, offered to pick me up later today and drive me and Michael to a Passover Seder at my cousin Lani’s house.
I wonder what pick-me-ups I’ll have to share with you tomorrow.
For now, I need to pick me up from this blogging chair and go to the Honda Dealership to see if I can pick me up a new tire. Then, I hope to pick the right things to say to provide pick-me-ups for people at work.
