Day 4939: Passion

I have a passion for blogging — that’s why I’ve been doing this for almost five thousand days!

I also have a passion for understanding and connecting different perspectives — that’s why I love group therapy.

Here’s a definition of “passion” …

.

… and here are some quotes about passion.

.

When I’m stuck, I try to reconnect with my passions.

Is there in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I look for passion on YouTube:

.

I have a passion for sharing my thanks to you!

Day 4937: Where would you rather be now?

Because I saw this bumper sticker yesterday …

.

… I decided to ask people, “Where would you rather be now?”

.

Where would I rather be now? Right here, sharing these images with you.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “where would you rather be now?” on YouTube.

.

Even though some of us would rather not be here, please don’t kill yourself.

.

As usual, I’m grateful to be here, now with YOU.

Day 4931: A Good Life

Last night in my Coping and Healing group, somebody asked a good question: What makes a good life?

People had many different good answers and the exchanges made for a good group.

Because of my groups, family, friends, cats, home, and music, I believe I have a good life.

Do you see a good life in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I look for a good life on YouTube:

.

What do you think makes a good life?

Thanks to all who help make my life a good life, including YOU!

Day 4929: Cool

Because of heat waves, climate change, and the news, it’s very important to stay cool.

It’s cool how many different answers I’m getting to this question about staying cool.

.

Which of today’s images are especially cool?

.

Penguins are definitely cool.

Here’s what I find when I look for “cool” on YouTube.

So many cool people were involved in the creation of “Cool” from West Side Story.

Thanks to all the cool people who are here for this cool post, including YOU!

Day 4918: Identity

Yesterday, in my Coping and Healing group, people were talking about their senses of identity.

Because my senses of identity include group facilitator and blogger, I just looked up the meaning of “identity.”

.

Can you identify different types of identity in my images for today?

That duck has the identity of mother!
My husband Michael has a new identity as a vegetable gardener!

.

I’m now embracing the new identity of rascal/scamp, because I knew today was New Identity Day when I started this post.

Here’s what I find when I search for “identity” on YouTube:

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about identity?

Thanks to all who are here for this identity post, including YOU!

Day 4915: Bragging

In my family, bragging was discouraged because that was

  • immodest and
  • invited the “evil eye.”

I don’t know if this is bragging, but I encourage people in my groups to bravely choose patterns others than those dictated by one’s family of origin, so I am creating a bragging post today.

The Daily Bitch is bragging in her own way.

Am I bragging when I share that I am very pleased with this original song?

.

Now I’m bragging that I have wonderful readers like you!

Day 4914: Wish Fulfillment

In my therapy groups, we sometimes discuss wish fulfillment by using magic wands.

.

I’ve heard the saying “be careful what you wish for” but I think it helps to encourage wish fulfillment.

Now, I wish to share that today is Wish Fulfillment Day!

.

Do you see wish fulfillment in my images for today?

Wish fulfillment à la The Daily Bitch.

When I search for “wish fulfillment” on YouTube, I find this…

.

… and this.

.

What are your thoughts and feelings about wish fulfillment?

Thanks to all who help me with wish fulfillment, including YOU!

Day 4910: Deep, Meaningful Relationships

Deep, meaningful relationships are necessary to our survival, don’t you think?

Let’s see what the Daily Bitch has to say about deep, meaningful relationships.

.

She’s not wrong, but that’s only one of the many benefits of deep, meaningful relationships.

Do you see deep, meaningful relationships in my other images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “deep, meaningful relationships” on YouTube:

.

I’m looking forward to another day when I’ll be exploring deep, meaningful relationships in group therapy and elsewhere.

Thanks to all who value deep, meaningful relationships, including YOU!

Day 4899: Healing Communities

I am fortunate to belong to several healing communities, including friends, family, my blogging and social media circles, and group psychotherapy professional organizations.

I’ve also been told that I provide healing communities through my Coping and Healing groups, which I plan to write about soon.

Healing communities are vital for human growth and survival. What healing communities do you see in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “healing communities” on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all my healing communities, including YOU!

Day 4887: Processing anger

People often talk about processing anger in my Coping and Healing groups.

When we are processing anger, I often point out that we have so few role models for processing anger, which is unfortunate during times like these (when there is so much anger to process).

One of my ways of processing anger is to write songs like I’m Mad About You …

.

… and Other People’s Anger.

.

Last night, while I was processing anger about what is happening in the USA, I asked this question about processing anger on Twitter.

.

Is anyone processing anger in my other images for today?

.

The Daily Bitch has her own way of processing anger.

How have you been processing anger?

Thanks to all who are here to witness my processing-anger post, including YOU!
