There was a time when being able to quote, from memory, the line “I am so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month. I am so hip I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis” would have been very uncool. Now, though, most people I encounter seem like they’d appreciate it. So in one way at least the world is cooler than it used to be.
