Day 4272: Work

Thursdays are my longest work day, as I facilitate two online therapy groups, one ending at 7 PM.

I love my work and have no plans to retire. Indeed, I have a joke about this. I say that after I die, I’m going to have my body stuffed and put in a room where I’ll lead groups as a silent therapist.

I don’t know if that joke works in a blog but I hope the rest of this post will work/ werk.

.

My work on social media includes posting those daily lists.

I love RuPaul’s work and here is Supermodel (You Better Work):

.

Thanks to all who are working it, here and now, including YOU!

Day 4188: Collections

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but my blog posts are usually collections of photos I took the day before. I hope these collections are interesting to various collections of people.

Yesterday, we saw the collections at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts for free after waiting in a long line on a very hot day with a collection of patient folks.

.

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “collections” on YouTube:

.

Are you ready for a collection of thanks from me?

Day 4089: Finding the joy

Finding the joy can be challenging in this world, so I greatly appreciated RuPaul talking about finding the joy on The Stephen Colbert Show.

.

I try to practice finding the joy every day.

.

Here’s more “finding the joy” on YouTube.

I am finding the joy in those videos.

I look forward to finding the joy in your comments, below.

Thanks to all who help me finding the joy, including YOU!

Day 2545: Shocks to the system

Every day, there are shocks to the system, as you can see in my Friday Fotos:

Some shocks to the system are nicer than others.

Any change from routine can be a shock to the system. Starting tomorrow, I’m off for a vacation that will include several shocks to the system, like

  • Hanukkah,
  • Christmas,
  • seeing my 21-year old son Aaron in a tuxedo,
  • my fiancé Michael wearing his first suit ever, and
  • Michael and I getting married a week from today!

Here‘s “Shock to the System” by Yes.

It’s not a shock to my system that one member of the soon-to-be-married couple loves Yes and the other one decidedly does not. Differences may be a shock to the system but they make life much more interesting.

For regular readers of this blog, my ending with gratitude cannot possibly be a shock to the system.

Day 2271: Why I Love You

Why, I love this card that I saw yesterday in a hospital gift shop!

IMG_3811.JPG

I love those reasons for why somebody loves somebody else.  Here’s why I love that pie chart: it gives the most pie to “You Make Me Laugh.”

I also love the idea of making a pie chart of why you love yourself, because as RuPaul says at the end of every episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race,

If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?

I love that video of the lovely and loving RuPaul advocating self-love over and over again, because it bears repeating. I also love that Denes Fernando‘s compilation video has unanimous love — NO thumbs down on YouTube, at this lovely moment.

Here are more reasons why I love taking pictures for this blog:
