I don’t want to make excuses for having mixed feelings about excuses.
When I saw today’s Daily Bitch calendar…

.
… I knew I wanted to ask a question on social media about excuses.

I’m not going to make excuses for including so many responses about excuses because I love other people’s perspectives and ingenuity.

Now I don’t need to any excuses to link to yesterday’s post about Make Your Own Luck Day.

Thanks to all who are here for my excuses, including YOU!

LOL! There used to be a yearly party that I always felt compelled to attend, but was at the point where I was happy leaving early. One year, after I had made the rounds (it was a garden party and she had a beautiful garden), seen almost all of the people I was there to see, had several satisfying conversations, I finally excused myself from the table near the exit where I had positioned myself for getting out of there. “You’re leaving?” someone asked me. “Yes,” I said. “There’s something on TV I have to watch.” Now, that was true, and someone else gasped, “You’re leaving to watch TV???” I felt a small wriggle of guilt, but I squashed it. “Why yes, I am.” And I left.
Good for you, Barbara!
Bitch? What’s the use. Always a new reason to around the next bend.
