Day 4625: Kind Words

I love sharing kind words, so I asked this question last night on social media.

.

Earlier in the evening, people at my favorite restaurant said some kind words about playing my new live album there in the future. For my part, I had many kind words to say about their amazing dishes.

.

Any kind words about my other images for today?

.

On We Love Memoirs Day, I have many kind words to say about Nora Ephron’s memoirs, which I love reading.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “kind words.”

.

Thanks to all who appreciate kind words, including YOU!

Day 4622: Bravery

Because I have fears about putting myself out there, it takes bravery for me to promote my music to friends and strangers. Also, because using new technology scares me, I summoned up some bravery yesterday to create a “hub link” that directs people to my music, my YouTube channel, my Twitter account, and this blog.

linktr.ee/singingtherapist

It also takes bravery for me to call myself “brave.”

Do you see bravery in my images for today?

.

It takes bravery to face failure as we all do, every day.

Here’s what I find when I search for bravery on YouTube.

.

Thanks to all who show bravery, including YOU!!

Day 4621: Excuses

I don’t want to make excuses for having mixed feelings about excuses.

When I saw today’s Daily Bitch calendar…

.

… I knew I wanted to ask a question on social media about excuses.

.

I’m not going to make excuses for including so many responses about excuses because I love other people’s perspectives and ingenuity.

Here are some quotes about excuses:

.

Now I don’t need to any excuses to link to yesterday’s post about Make Your Own Luck Day.

My excuses for not promoting my new album more aggressively are (1) I don’t like bothering people and (2) I need a break!

Do you see any excuses in my other images for today?

.

On Just Because Day, “just because” seems like a fine excuse.

My excuses for not including “I Don’t Wanna Be Late (Don’t Wanna Be Early Either)” on my new album were (1) it was too long and (2) it needed the video context of the live concert to work. Also, a musician I know walked out on me when I was rehearsing it with him. What do you think about those excuses?

.

You don’t need to make excuses about leaving a comment, below.

Thanks to all who are here for my excuses, including YOU!

I am trying to make my own luck by promoting my new album in different ways. Here’s what I posted on TikTok this morning:

@annkoplow

From my new live album streaming everywhere! Search for “the Singing Therapist.”#singersongwriter #musictherapy #newmusic

♬ original sound – SingingTherapist

I made my own luck there by spending way too much time figuring out how to imbed that video in today’s blog post.

Thanks to everybody who helps me make my own luck, including YOU!

Day 4617: Unfinished Business

Today I have unfinished business from yesterday’s blog post, which announced the release of my live album.

Here is the link to my album on Spotify:

https://open.spotify.com/album/2jquX5MTakvlpm5zw7Lzfh?si=PhLcGqIHRLSwMGmcJyZAfQ

Here is the link to my album on Apple Music:

The album is streaming elsewhere but sharing more about that will be unfinished business for now.

My unfinished business for today includes writing remarks I’ll be delivering at a memorial service for a dear departed member of my support groups.

While I might feel like she had unfinished business on this earth, I think that is just a reflection of how much I am going to miss her.

Do you see unfinished business in my images for today?

.

Here’s what I find on YouTube when I search for “unfinished business.”

.

Now it’s time to finish some unfinished business: thanking YOU for being here, now, with me.

Day 4616: Priorities

My priority this morning was to post this information on Spotify for my song “Don’t Kill Yourself.”

.

I have so many other things to do today and it helps to be aware of your priorities.

What priorities do you see in my other images for today?

.

The Daily Bitch has interesting priorities.

Here is “Don’t Kill Yourself,” which is part of my live album being released today!

.

Because my priorities are my patients before myself, I need to get ready for my first therapy session today before figuring out how to inform everyone about how to access my album. Perhaps I will add that information later to this blog post.

For now, thanks to all who help me set priorities, including YOU!

Day 4615: Lists

I have lists in my head, on paper, and on my phone.

My lists today include:

  • writing a eulogy for a beloved patient,
  • preparing an email about my album release tomorrow,
  • creating a “canvas” (a looping video) for my song “Don’t Kill Yourself” with helpful resources, and
  • celebrating my husband Michael’s birthday.

.

What lists do you see in my images today?

.

Here’s what I find when I search for “lists” on YouTube:

.

Also on my list: thank you all for being here, now.

Day 4614: Procrastination

Procrastination is something most of us practice, until we get it right.

Yesterday, I was procrastinating sending an email to people about the upcoming release of my live album The Singing Therapist — Live at the Lilypad. I seem to practice procrastination regarding actions where I am afraid I might make a mistake, not have the answer to possible questions, might be bothering people, and anything that feels unfamiliar or arduous.

Do you see procrastination in my images for today?

.

I haven’t written a song about procrastination yet, so here is a TED talk about it.

.

Thanks to all who overcame procrastination to read this procrastination post, including YOU!

Day 4604: Get Ready

After a frustrating week-long glitch in submitting my live album to Spotify and Apple Music, Spotify asked me to get ready for my release on August 22.

.

Although I tried to get ready three weeks ahead of time, the unexpected delay means I won’t have the ideal two weeks ahead of my release to pitch my song to Spotify playlist editors. I’ll get ready to do my best anyway.

Get ready for my other images for today’s blog post!

.

I can’t observe National Lazy Day because I need to get ready to submit my song “I Left the House Before I Felt Ready” to Spotify playlist editors.

Get ready to hear that song!

.

Get ready for some gratitude from me!

Day 4595: I may not know what I’m doing

I may not know what I’m doing but I am about to schedule the release of my live album of original songs.

.

I may not know what I’m doing but I shall do my best to publicize the album’s release date of August 22.

I may not know what I’m doing but it’s time to share the rest of today’s images.

.

I may not know what I’m doing but I know I’ll find something to share on YouTube.

.

I may not know what I’m doing but I do know how to express gratitude to you!
