While I’m very busy, I’m also trying to simplify my life.
It helps me simplify to remember that the secret of life is three things:
- Show up.
- Be gentle (with others and yourself).
- Tell the truth.
To tell the truth, my husband and I have been watching Tiny House Hunting, where people simplify their lives by downsizing dramatically.
I’m now trying to simplify a thought I’m having about how I simplify my life: I spend my time doing things I value with people I love.
I shall now simplify this blog post.

.
I shall now simplify myself by embracing the labels “Gruntled Worker” and “Passionate Cat Lady.”
Here‘s Young the Giant with “Simplify.”
.
Thanks to all who help me simplify, including YOU.

I really love living in a small house, Ann, but I don’t know about taking that giant leap to tiny!
We’re not taking that giant leap either, my friend!
I would like a phone that only makes and receives calls and messages.
What a concept!
good luck simplifying your life!
Thank you!
How is your Threads account coming along, Ann? I bet that a lot of your followers are cat people. Will Twitter go to the dogs?
Good questions, Maureen. Time will tell.
I am simplifying my politics based on peoples’ reaction on seeing hungry frightened children into the “must make soup” party and the “take the horrid little flea-bitten things away” party. (checks for soup ingredients just in case)
Sounds like a good way to simplify, Barbara.
I like simplifying wherever I can, keeps life less stressful and don’t need the rest. like mark, I love living in a small house
Thanks for simplifying, beth.
Simplify with minimalism, but challenging when society constantly fosters material gains.
Beautifully and simply put, Maria.
I try to simplify where I can. By that it usually means just not taking on more responsibility than is really mine to take. I liked your list: “Be gentle (with others and yourself).” That’s a very good place to start.
I love your photos of Joan and have enjoyed the “extras” on Threads! 🙂
Thanks for a simply lovely comment, Debra.
This is so interesting and resonates with me a lot. It’s encouraging to know that there are ways to simplify, and that truth is one of the secrets of life. I think it’s great that you and your husband are watching Tiny House Hunting and that you’re trying to simplify your life in a meaningful way. It’s also inspiring that you’re embracing the “gruntled worker” and “passionate cat lady” labels! Thanks for sharing your story and inspiring us to simplify our lives. Thank you author!
